Hollywood, Calif. – The Christian family organization Movieguide®, www.movieguide.org, will be placing its faith-based movie reviews on Fox News and its “Fox & friends” show starting this Friday, Nov. 18, for a seven-week trial.
Movieguide® is a trusted source for the family that reviews all movies from a Christian perspective using high biblical standards.
Founder and Publisher Dr. Ted Baehr said, “We are pleased to be placing our TV show on the Fox News Channel. This gives us another great opportunity to help make family life better, by helping parents make positive movie choices for their children and teenagers. We don’t want people to pay a lot of money to get their family into a theater and then have to say, ‘Uh-oh, what have I done?’”
Movieguide® is a non-profit group that reviews movies not only for the quality of the production and for the potential negative content, as some other family review services do. Movieguide® also evaluates movies according to the worldview and cultural messages the movies present. This evaluation is done through the lens of the Bible, which Christians consider to be the Word of God. Movieguide®’s stated mission is “to redeem the values of the entertainment industry by influencing industry executives and by informing and equipping the public about the influence of the entertainment media.”
