Fired by Hollywood for Her Christian Beliefs?
October 20, 2009

Christian actress Patricia Mauceri of the daytime soap opera ONE LIFE TO LIVE told Fox News recently that ABC, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company, fired her for her religious beliefs because she objected to out-of-character "gay-friendly" dialogue in the script. "This goes against everything I am," said Mauceri, who was on the show for 14 years. An ABC spokesman called such claims "frivolous." - Source: www.popeater.com, 09/08/09.   ...

Maine Bureaucrats Force School To Let Boy Use Girls Restroom!
October 20, 2009

Homosexual activists complain that their opponents use fear tactics against them to scare parents, but the Maine Human Rights Commission recently forced the Asa C. Adams Elementary School in Orono to let a 12-year-old boy use the girls restroom. The boy apparently "thinks" he's a girl. Stupid, inane and loony decisions like this are the kind of thing that radical activists support and that their evil ideology intentionally creates. Sadly, too many leaders in America's two political parties kowtow to these radicals. Normal American citizens need to stand up against this kind of perversion that is corrupting America's culture morally, spiritually and psychologically. - Sources: The Record, Maine, 08/31/09.   ...

What Every Christian Needs To Know About the Crusades
October 20, 2009

By Peter Hammond Editor's Note: Dr. Peter Hammond has been a pioneer missionary to Muslims in Sudan. He is the author of SLAVERY, TERRORISM AND ISLAM - THE HISTORICAL ROOTS AND CONTEMPORARY THREAT. Tel.: 021-689-4480; admin@frontline.org.za; www.frontline.org.za. This article is reprinted by permission. Pictured above is a scene of Christian Crusaders taking Beirut from the Muslims. At the same time that our mission station was being bombed by the National Islamic Front government in Sudan, fellow missionaries were organizing "Reconciliation Walks" to the Middle East to apologize for "The Crusades." As our church services and schools were under aerial and artillery bombardment by Jihadists, this seemed rather bizarre. Some claim that ...

Constantinople Has Fallen
October 20, 2009

By George Grant & Gregory Wilbur "Curse the day," the fleet messengers announced. "Constantinople has fallen to the Turks. Byzantium is no more." The shattering news was announced in Genoa at wharf side early in the afternoon on July 8 in 1453. The great city had gone down fighting, with Emperor Constantine bravely positioned at the head of his troops. But the fierce Muslim tide was too much. All Christian resistance was quickly thwarted. The conquest was complete by midmorning. The massacre that followed was utterly horrifying - Byzantine citizens were cut down like grass in a meadow, holy relics were tossed into the sea, diplomatic consuls from the West were tortured and executed, women were raped, children were enslaved, and the...

Obama – A Student of History?
October 20, 2009

By William J. Federer Pictured Above:  The brutal Muslim warrior Tamerlane, who killed an estimated 17 million people. Editor's Note: William J. Federer is author of the best-selling book, "What Every American Needs to Know About the Qur'an - A History of Islam & the United States." In this article, he shows how President Obama distorted the history of Europe and whitewashed the murderous history of the Muslim faith. The article is reprinted here with permission.     In his speech in Cairo, Egypt, June 4, 2009, President Obama stated, "As a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam. It was Islam that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe's Renaissance." Civiliza...

Racy Programming and Ads Hit Popular ‘Kidvid’ Channel, Nickelodeon
October 16, 2009

By Tommy Wood For years, my children have enjoyed relatively innocent and agreeable programming on cable networks such as Nickelodeon, Disney and their subsidiaries. I've often said the silly sitcoms of the 80's merely moved to cable and were re-engineered for a new generation. However, I was not surprised over the last decade to see a disquieting agenda slowly and methodically slipped into new shows and advertising. Hoping to never have to pull the plug on a channel that brings us a chipper sea sponge and his goofy friends, I have kept a wary eye on it. Sometimes an ad would air that was slightly age inappropriate, but nothing to strike over. Then, a new show comes out and is number one in the ratings. . . but, the characters wear out ...

Sorry, Dave, Adultery Is Not Good Comedy
October 16, 2009

By Dr. Ted Baehr, Publisher, and David Outten, Production Editor Late-night talk show host David Letterman spent over nine minutes the other night explaining that he had been blackmailed for getting sexually involved with female staff members. His presentation of the story included no sign of remorse for his own actions. In fact, he implied it was to be expected he would do such things with staffers. Throughout his explanation, he sought and got laughs from clueless members of his studio audience. While we certainly do not condone blackmail, Letterman's light-hearted attitude toward his own behavior is an indication of moral bankruptcy. Letterman joked about "creepy things" that he was being blackmailed for and said he was "a towering m...

What Does God Say About Helping the Poor and Needy?
October 16, 2009

By Dr. Ted Baehr, Publisher, and Dr. Tom Snyder, Editor   Neo-Communism is sweeping the world. At the same time he is shutting down TV and radio stations, Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez attended the Venice Film Festival with his entourage, to be praised by those who haven't suffered under his dictatorial regime. A big splash in the news media followed this despicable event. Time and again, history has shown that Communism does not work. When the Mayflower landed, as historian Dr. Marshall Foster has pointed out, the Pilgrims tried a primitive form of Communism. All the fields were owned in common, and so the industrious got upset that, while they worked, lazy scoundrels just sat around and watched them. Eventually, everyone stopped w...

Interview with Hollywood Legend Dean Jones
October 05, 2009

By Jeff Holder, Managing Editor MOVIEGUIDE® had a chance to get a behind the scenes look at an upcoming direct to DVD movie, MANDIE AND THE SECRET TUNNEL starring Dean Jones. As everyone knows, Dean Jones has become an icon in family filmmaking and shares his thoughts about his new movie. MOVIEGUIDE®: What was it about MANDIE that made you want to do this movie? Dean Jones: MANDIE appealed to me for several reasons. I love being a part of films which will bring families together. I enjoyed the story. I liked the fact that it was taken from a book series, which has sold several million copies. I was excited to work with the producers/directors, Joy Chapman and Owen Smith, who have made several family films. MOVIEGUIDE®: What memory st...

Stop ANTICHRIST from Coming to Your Neighborhood
October 05, 2009

By Dr. Ted Baehr, Publisher of MOVIEGUIDE® Coming to your local theater October 23 is a movie that I can only call the most horrific movie ever seen. It's called ANTICHRIST, and it's filled with a wicked worldview, vile pornographic scenes, onscreen mutilation of private parts, and some other material which I simply cannot describe to you in a family publication. We cannot stop this movie, but we have a strategy which we believe will be the next best thing. We are petitioning the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the people who hand out the ratings on movies, to rate this despicable movie what it deserves: NC-17. This rating will keep it out of many of your neighborhood cinemas. Whereas, if they deem it to be R-r...
