With the new HARRY POTTER movie coming just around the corner, it's important to remember this:
Nearly three quarters of American teenagers, or 73%, have engaged in at least one experiment with witchcraft or psychic activities, with about 50% having explored witchcraft.
Even more worrisome is that 69% of Born-Again teenagers have experimented at least once with witchcraft or psychic activities.
Please don't let your child or grandchild be seduced by the occult!

Los Angeles, Calif. - Family advocate and Christian media scholar Dr. Ted Baehr, publisher of Movieguide®: The Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment, announced today that a new three-year study of the Top 25 movies released in 2006-2008 earning the most money overseas shows that international moviegoers prefer clean movies with strong or very strong Christian, moral and/or redemptive content and values.
"This study is significant because it matches our annual study of the Top 25 Movies at the Box Office in America and Canada and the top home video sales annually," Dr. Baehr asserted, "and because Hollywood now makes more money overseas than it does in the United States."
The Movieguide® study found that 20 of the Top 25 Movies Over...
An urgent reminder for all TV watchers and loyal fans of the Movieguide® TV program who receive their TV signal over the air with a traditional metal antennae on the roof:
You're about to lose TV coverage!
In February, the switch from analog to digital TV began and is to be completed this Friday June 12, 2009. Stations are dropping their on-air notices that if you receive TV via cable or via satellite you already are compatible. But, if you get TV over the air by an antenna, you will need to get a converter box in order to receive the signal.
Here's the official web site for up to the minute info: www.dtv.gov. Or, you can call them and get the information at 888-225-5322 (1-888-CALL FCC).
On the site, you can put in your zip code and f...

Actress Sandra Bullock says she wouldn't call her new movie with Ryan Reynolds, THE PROPOSAL, a romantic comedy at all.
"I just call it a movie," she says.
Ryan Reynolds humorously added they should just call it a "talkie," referring to what movies with sound were originally called.
MOVIEGUIDE® joined journalists from around the world for a press conference promoting the new comedy from Touchstone Pictures starring Bullock and Reynolds where Bullock plays a demanding, narcissistic boss who browbeats her ambitious assistant (played by Reynolds) into marrying her so she can avoid deportation back to Canada.
Bullock says she's reluctant to label THE PROPOSAL a "romantic comedy" in part because the previous...

The Hollywood studio that made Will Ferrell's new movie LAND OF THE LOST is marketing it like a family movie. If you think, however, that this is Will's follow-up to the charming family film ELF, think again.
In no way whatsoever is LAND OF THE LOST a family movie, much less a family-friendly movie.
This rambling exercise in sci fi comedy is filled with offensive, sexual, scatological, stoner jokes. Everything from pot to hard narcotics is extolled. Sex is a constant refrain for the jokes, with the touching of body parts and a graphic description of dinosaur body parts. Some of the violence is very bloody. Finally, in the story Will Ferrell's character, Professor Rick Marshall, and ...
Sacramento County has backed down from a ban on conducting religious marriage ceremonies after attorneys from the Pacific Justice Institute wrote county officials a letter pointing out the unconstitutionality and illegality of the ban.
The letter was sent after a counter clerk illegally told Manuel Zamorano that he could not mention God during a marriage ceremony, although Zamorano does not work for the county and the ceremony was not being conducted on County property.
The county has issued a ruling stating that "Deputy Commissioners of Civil Marriages" are free to use any wording of their choice or of the couple's choice.
"I am thankful that the County has changed its position and now realizes it is okay to mention God or Jesus Christ ...

In its opening weekend, Pixar's latest hit UP brought in $68 million and garnered a 53 percent female audience with 47 percent under 17-years-old. This is the sweet spot in terms of audience tracking. It shows that the movie is drawing men, women and children in healthy proportions.
MOVIEGUIDE® confidently predicts that UP will hold up. The broad appeal of the story will generate excellent word of mouth everywhere from the pre-school to the nursing home.
Contrast this with big budget R-rated movie WATCHMEN from Warner Bros. WATCHMEN's opening weekend was a solid $55 million, but it drew 65 percent male with 54 percent over 25. In its second weekend, it plummeted 67%. In 12...

Glen Beck, the libertarian hoist of a popular show on the Fox News Channel, said on his show last week that social conservatives in the Republican Party want to stick their noses into what Americans do in their bedroom.
Someone should enlighten Mr. Beck that this is a liberal, libertarian lie that has no foundation in truth.
In the first place, the opposition of social conservatives to abortion is a matter of life and death. Stopping abortions has nothing to do with what people do in their bedroom.
Secondly, the concern that social conservatives have regarding sexual issues such as adultery, premarital sex and homosexuality has to do with what occurs in the public square of America's cities, towns and suburb...
Planned Parenthood's annual report for 2007-2008 shows it claimed the lives of more than 300,000 unborn babies in the United States but referred fewer than 5,000 females to adoption agencies.
Also, the organization generated more than $1 billion, including about $350 million in taxpayer money.
These figures show that a lack of Christian faith leads to mass murder. Americans need to rise up and demand an end to this cycle of death, which is supported by many heartless judges and mindless politicians.
