The Barna Group has released info on the world of blogging.
While 23% of American computer users are on a social network (like Facebook or MySpace), only 10% have a blog and only 14% post on blogs. The research states that blogs are most common with single adults, Northeast residents, homosexuals, those not registered to vote, atheists, and agnostics.
Since 1995, the number of available TV channels that come into your home has increased from 41 to 119. This is mostly due to the exponential growth of channels available via cable.
But how many of those 119 channels are you actually watching these days?
According to Nielsen Media, you’re watching about 16. That’s right, 87% of the channels simply aren’t being watched. Apparently, many viewers, especially younger ones, are drifting toward the Internet. Stay tuned to see how all this will develop in the coming years.
As attacks continue on the Bible (even within many churches and denominations that have abandoned the moral and theological principles on which Christianity is based), it’s important for everyone to realize that the Bible is a unique set of historically reliable documents that reveal God’s salvation plan for humankind – Jesus Christ!
Even the 3,500-year-old books of Moses in the Hebrew Scriptures, the five books of the Torah, reveal Jesus Christ. For example, Gen. 3:15 predicts the virgin birth of the Messiah, or the Christ, the crucifixion of the Messiah (also known as “The Passion of the Christ”), the Resurrection of the Christ, and the defeat of the Serpent of Sin that Jesus Christ brings to all people everywhere.
As Jesus Chri...
“Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwell in him, and he in God.”
According to the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF WARS by Charles Phillips and Alan Axelrod, religious wars account for only 7%, or 123 of the 1,763 wars in recorded human history.
It is important to note that 66 of those religious wars, more than 50%, involved Islam, the so-called “religion of peace.” Yet, Islam did not even exist as a religion for 3,000 years of recorded human warfare! In that light, please note that the Christian Crusades, especially the first one, were actually a defensive action against the barbarity, violence and warmongering of Islam.
Furthermore, only one of the U.S.A.’s 17 wars, the current “War on Terror,” has involved any religious entanglement (once again against violent, sexist Muslim tyrants), despite the fact that...
Atheists like to promote the false argument that religion has killed more innocent people than any other force in the history of mankind.
Is that really true about those people professing the Christian religion?
Actually, according to Vox Day in THE IRRATIONAL ATHEIST, atheist regimes in the 20th Century alone killed and murdered about 153.3 million people for philosophical, political and economic reasons, while in 2,000 years people mis-representing the Christian faith killed and murdered only about 1.65 million, or 93 times less the number of people in 20 centuries compared to only one century!!!
Democide Statistics, Christianity vs. Atheism
Atheist Democide in 1 century 153.36 million people
Christian Democide in 20 centuries 1.65 mi...
Some New Age practitioners are buying and selling crystal skulls, which are featured in the new Indiana Jones movie appropriately titled, KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL.
According to the Associated Press, many of the New Age followers believe that the Mayan calendar will run out on December 21, 2012 and that, unless all 13 ancient skulls are reunited and lined up, the world will fall off its axis.
Don’t rush out to buy your skull just yet!
USA Today reports that ABC’s drama series “Brothers & Sisters” featured a “gay commitment ceremony” as part of their season finale this May. Giddy over their “accomplishment,” actor Matthew Rhys says, “It’s all very progressive, evolved and about time.” Is it really “about time” for this? Has America been petitioning the networks for a “gay commitment ceremony?” Have writers run out of ideas and so the season finale wedding cliché needs a twist to make it novel? Is that all this is? Or is there a deeper agenda eroding the sensitivity of what’s morally right and wrong?...
Liberty University had an unlikely speaker for its commencement address this year. Marital arts expert, actor, MOVIEGUIDE® friend, and the source of countless Internet jokes, Chuck Norris, took the platform.
World Net Daily reports him telling students, “I got sucked into the entertainment world of Hollywood.” He goes on to say that, “It’s like the Holy Spirit hit me and said, ‘Chuck it’s time to come home.’”
It seems that only God can get away with hitting Chuck Norris.
