Advertising Age has come out with the top ten best-selling video game titles across multiple platforms and MOVIEGUIDE ® got a chance to look over them. Of the ten, eight fall into an “OK” category, unlike other years when such dreadful titles like GRAND THEFT AUTO were topping the charts. Military themed CALL TO ACTION 4 along with GUITAR HERO III are top sellers on 360 and WII platforms respectively. The PS3 and 360 platforms boast the only all-rotten title, DEVIL MAY CRY 4, counting twice for each platform in the top ten. While, we can always want more family oriented fare, we should take heart in the good news as we get it.

ision show for several years running, deleted the name of Jesus in a song sung by the cast during the show’s charity drive April 9, then put His name back into the song when it was sung again on its April 10 program.
The cast sang the popular Christian song “Shout to the Lord” by Darlene Zschech the first night, but the opening lyrics were changed from “My Jesus, My Savior” to “My Shepherd, My Savior.”
The next night, however, the cast sang the song again, but with the name of Jesus included.
Last year, when one contestant sang the words, “Jesus, take the wheel,” the top-rated show averaged more than 31 million viewers. This season’s contest, however, has seen the ratings drop slightly, to 29.9 million viewers.
“Rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.”

A London Daily Mail survey reports that 25% of Britons believe Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who led his people to victory over Hitler’s National Socialist onslaught, was a fictional character. They also think historical figures such as Florence Nightingale, Sir Walter Raleigh, Cleopatra, and Mahatma Gandhi are also fictional characters created for literature or movies.
Conversely, they believe Sherlock Holmes, the fictional detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, was a real person!
Not so elementary, my dear MOVIEGUIDE® reader.
Rolling Stone magazine, a notorious far-left outlet promoting sexual promiscuity, recently opined that the Democrat Party had taken over the antiwar, pacifist movement in the United States, which opposes further military action in Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries, even if a country may be on the verge of creating nuclear-armed missiles and even if they may be in danger of succumbing to the terrorist movement in the Muslim community.
The magazine’s main political writer, Matt Taibbi, complained, however, that the Democrats are not as aggressive as they should be in opposing such military action or the foreign policies of the Bush administration.
Of course, in 1976, Rolling Stone also published an article by the notorious “journali...
Aging Baby Boomers in the United States currently number about 76 million people, representing a large number of individuals crying out for spiritual, moral and psychological fulfillment.
The key to reaching these people for Jesus Christ, both in and out of church, requires a discernment of their attitudes.
For example, according to a study by AARP, only 13% of Baby Boomers reported a high level of confidence in organized religion. They also have a penchant for personalized spirituality, a religious ethic embracing autonomy and freedom of choice, and fulfillment in the here and now as well as salvation and fulfillment in the hereafter.
The question is, can these feelings and attitudes be met without distorting the truth of Christianity or w...

The ACLU and other organizations have sued the Rev. Hashmel Turner, a member of the Fredericksburg, Virginia City Council, for praying “in Jesus’ name” at a council meeting.
“Christians listen to non-Christian prayers,” said Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and author of CHRISTIAN BASHING, “so why are Christians singled out and told what they can or cannot pray?”
The case is being heard March 19 after our print deadline.
