Mindless Religion

We couldn’t help but notice black liberation “preacher” Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s appearances on PBS, in Detroit and at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. last month.
Rev. Wright (the pastor of presidential candidate Barack Obama for 20 years) is a racist demagogue who promotes a Neo-Marxist victim theology. Surprisingly, Rev. Wright said that thinking and preaching which is emotional and “creative” (whatever THAT means) is just as good as thinking and preaching which is objective and logical. He indicated that Christianity should value equally both kinds of thinking and preaching, but he also contradicted himself by indicating that thinking and preaching which is objective and logical is part of “racist” and “sexist” and “oppressive” white European culture.
This is mindless baloney.
While it is good to be passionate about your religion and your philosophy, the Bible (and Christianity, the only really true religion) teaches us that truth is best and primarily found in the love and logic of God, as objectively taught to us by a rational, objective study of Scripture, the Word of God. The Word of God, including His love and logic, is our ultimate standard, not our emotions!
Last month, Rev. Wright sounded like the Neo-Marxist, racist bigot that he is, and has been, apparently, for many years. According to his own statements last year on the HANNITY AND COLMES show on the Fox News Channel, he bases his comments on the mindless radical theories of other Marxist racists like James Cone at Union Theological Seminary and Dwight Hopkins at the University of Chicago Divinity School.
The black community, including the NAACP, should renounce the mindless political religion of Rev. Wright and pray for his repentance.
Even Sen. Obama has had to make a public statement renouncing most of Wright’s recent silly comments.
