A new study shows that people who watch more TV don’t live as long as those who don’t.
Australian researchers found that people who watch about six hours of TV a day live about five years less than those who don’t watch any TV. In fact, they found that, after the age of 25, your lifespan shortens by 22 minutes for every hour you watch!
More eating, less physical activity and obesity are the health dangers of watching television, the study found. Also, people who watch more TV than others tend to be more depressed or lonely.
The end result? More cases of diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
