Declines in Mainline Churches Tied to Lack of Faith
February 4th, 2010
The Barna Group reported recently that the decline in the number of mainline Protestant churches and members of mainline churches may be due, in large measure, to a lack of faith.
Only 49% of mainline adults describe themselves as "absolutely committed to Christianity." And, 72% say they are more likely to develop their own religious beliefs than to adopt those taught by their denomination or church.
Encourage everyone you meet to establish a committed, personal, biblical relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. A diligent study of the Holy Bible is a vital part of an accurate, profound theology as well as a rewarding life celebrating the true, the good, and the beautiful.
