Godless Liberal Morality Increasing?

In a sign that Godless liberal morality may be on the rise, a survey of Americans suggests that they are less concerned about issues like abortion, the immoral content of movies and television, and illegal immigration than they are about “sexy” left-wing causes like poverty, the personal debt of individuals and HIV/AIDS. Of course, the size of these leftist problems in the United States has been exaggerated by the leftist secular media, including Hollywood. This again shows that whoever controls the media controls the world, which is why MOVIEGUIDE® is dedicated to redeeming the values of the mass media. Be that as it may, according to the Barna Research Group, only 45% of Americans consider the content of the media to be a major problem, only 50% say abortion is a major problem (!), and only 60% believe illegal immigration is a major problem (the higher number here is probably due to the influence of secular conservative talk radio, which has been more vocal about illegal immigration but seems to ignore other important issues of concern to Bible-believing Christians). In comparison, 78% of Americans believe poverty and personal debt are major problems (!!!), and 76% believe HIV/AIDS is a major problem, even though, as even leaders of the homosexual movement admit (see story above), is primarily a “gay” disease affecting, at most, 5% of Americans who engage in homosexual and bisexual activity (and that’s being charitable).

Atheism and Big Government Are Deadly

Historical facts clearly prove the murderous evils of atheism and big government At a minimum, atheist dictators in the Soviet Union, Red China, Cambodia, North Korea, Vietnam, and Yugoslavia murdered 105 million people in the 20th Century, more than 60% of the mass murders, genocide and political murders in that time. In comparison, only about 2% of the 169 million examples of democide in the 20th Century were due to religious conflict. Also in comparison, the Crusades murdered only 1 million people over several centuries, the Spanish Inquisition only murdered 350,000 people over several centuries, and the witch hunts added up together only killed about 100,000 people from 1400 A.D. to 1800 A.D. In fact, before the 20th century, religious conflict only accounted for about 3% of the genocide, mass murders and political/religious murders, or democide, in the world during recorded history. Furthermore, regarding the Crusades, it should be noted that they were undertaken to defend people, including Christians, against the murderous tyrannical hordes of Mohammed’s children, who continue to ravage the world and destroy true human liberty and dignity under the God of the Bible. Thus, Americans, Latin Americans, Europeans, Africans, Asians, Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians, and Polynesians have more to fear from a big atheist government than a few moral reforms supported by Evangelical Christians, such as pro-life laws against abortion, laws against same-sex marriage and the cleansing of the culture of moral filth and gross obscenity. Of course, as Paul writes in Romans, the government is established by God to commend the good and punish the wrongdoer. Properly run, the government should therefore hold no terror for the Bible-believing Christian who does good, including those fighting abortion, same-sex marriage and depravity in the mass media.

Homosexuality Is Still Deadly

Homosexuality not only leads to the deadly HIV/AIDS virus, it also leads to premature aging, according to the Los Angeles Times on Feb. 5. “I have a population that, having survived this terrible illness, is now getting illnesses of old age 10 or 20 years sooner than normal,” Dr. Ardis Moe, a physician at UCLA’s Center for Clinical AIDS research and Education, said. Meanwhile, on Feb. 8, Matt Forman, outgoing director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, noted, “We cannot deny that HIV is a gay disease.” According to figures from the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, 70% of Americans with HIV/AIDS are homosexual or bisexual. In other words, 70% of HIV/AIDS cases in the United States can be eliminated by completely stopping homosexual desires and behavior, including “same-sex marriage.” Once again, abstinence is the best policy, not only for individuals and families, including children and teenagers, but also for all doctors and nurses, all local, state and federal governments, all international associations, all businesses, all civic groups, all churches, and all religious groups! Stopping all drug abuse and anal intercourse probably would end 29.9% of the other 99.9% of the HIV/AIDS cases throughout the world. The world needs to hear this and take it to heart: “Men committed indecent acts with other men and received the due penalty for their perversion.” – Romans 1:27, NIV This is the news about homosexuality that the world should be getting, not the phony propaganda that too often permeates the news outlets in the mass media.

Does Tolerance Breed Islamic Jihad?

While European, American, British, and Canadian leaders are caving in to demands from the misguided Muslims in their midst, Christians in Pakistan are coming under increased persecution by Muslims. According to the Los Angeles Times on Feb. 5, “rising Islamic extremism” in that country is putting more Christians in serious danger. Dozens have been jailed for allegedly violating arcane blasphemy laws forbidding anyone to defame Islam, even indirectly or unintentionally. Christians are also barred from equal pay, housing and educational opportunities, or even attacked or murdered. Consequently, many Christians are so fearful that they don’t wear any outward symbols of Christian faith. “The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom wants the State Dept. to name Pakistan a ‘country of particular concern,’” the Times writes. As William J. Federer wrote on Feb. 15 in “Moderate Muslims turning radical?” on WorldNetDaily, the West’s increasing tolerance of problematic, or even immoral, Muslim practices encourages extremist Muslims, and moderate Muslims, that the whole world will sooner, rather than later, embrace the draconian measures of Muslim “sharia” law and submit to the intolerant, anti-biblical god of Islam. Thus, our tolerance may actually be fueling the unholy satanic fire encroaching upon us. The fire is already killing our brothers and sisters in Christ in Pakistan and other Muslim/Arab countries. We need to put out the fire before it enslaves or destroys the rest of the world.
