Fresh off its win at the Golden Globes, “The Artist” leads the pack of ten movies vying for the Best 2010 Movie for Mature Audiences, the executive producers of the 20th Annual Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry announced today.

The Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry honoring family-friendly movies and television programs and spiritually uplifting entertainment has announced actor Dean Cain as the official host of the 20th Annual Awards show to be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Universal Studios Hilton Hotel in Hollywood.

Most Inspiring Movie & TV Program Monday Night
Hollywood, Calif. – Hallmark Movie Channel will televise the presentation of the $100,000 Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie of 2010 and the $100,000 Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring TV Program Monday at 7 pm Eastern and Pacific Time.
It’s all part of the 19th Annual Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry, which honors family entertainment and entertainment with inspiring, redemptive themes.
Supported by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation (www.templeton.org), the $200,000 Epiphany Prizes for Inspiring Movies & TV honor the best movie and television program that “greatly increases man’s love or understanding of God.”
“This kind of entertainment is becoming more and more popular,” said Dr. Ted Baehr, founder of the Christian Film & Television Commission® and Movieguide®, which sponsor the Annual Awards Gala. “And, we have a wonderful variety of great nominees this year that not only are truly inspiring, redemptive and spiritually uplifting but that also focus on our Divine Creator, who enlightens all people and blesses us with His grace.”

Highlights of the Faith & Values Awards will air Monday, May 16, on the Hallmark Movie Channel at 7 pm (note the new time!).
Actor Kevin Sorbo of TV’s “Hercules” is the emcee. Mary Mary, Ace Young and the Greater Los Angeles Gospel Choir will also perform.

Movieguide® and Hallmark Movie Channel Celebrate
Most Inspiring Performances of the Year May 16
The 19th Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry will hand out the Grace Awards for Most Inspiring Performances in Movies & TV at 7 pm Monday on the Hallmark Movie Channel.
The Grace Awards honors actors whose performance in a movie and television program “exemplifies God’s grace and mercy toward us as human beings.”
“In addition to honoring an actor who delivers an exceptional performance, the Grace Awards goes one step further and honors the spiritual component of the performance. It’s one of the important awards viewers will see on May 16,” said Dr. Ted Baehr, founder of the Christian Film & Television Commission®, which sponsors the awards.
For movies, the Grace Award nominees are Georgie Henley for THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER, Tanner Maguire for LETTERS TO GOD, John Ratzenberger, Kevin Sorbo and Kristy Swanson for WHAT IF. . ., Denzel Washington for THE BOOK OF ELI, and Randy Wayne and Joshua Weigel for TO SAVE A LIFE.
For television, the nominees are Dean Cain and Sonny Shroyer for THE WAY HOME, Matt Letscher, Madison Mason and Kimberly Williams-Paisley for AMISH GRACE, Brad Stine and Nancy Stafford for CHRISTMAS WITH A CAPITAL C, and Barry Pepper and Winona Ryder for WHEN LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH: THE LOIS WILSON STORY.
