DIVIDED

"Saving the Church from Its Demise"

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

DIVIDED is a must-see documentary movie. Well-produced, it presents an interesting, insightful, powerful investigation of why youth ministry is failing in the Church today. The movie shows what research ahs found, that by the time they’re 21, 90% of the church youth will leave the Christian faith. Philip Leclerc investigates why his generation is abandoning the Church. What he finds is extraordinarily interesting: It’s not just the seduction of the world; but, after interviewing church youth, youth ministry experts, evangelists, researchers, commentators, and pastors, he discovers youth ministries themselves are part of the problem. He shows how they have strayed from the biblical model of training children, which relies on parents and teaching theology. Thus, strong theological training has been replaced by fun and games. To sum up, the system itself is broken. The system is man-made, but the church is God made. This is the time to return to God’s biblical plan for the church.

DIVIDED is just in time to save the Church from its own self-destruction. It’s highly commended. Please watch it and give it to your pastor, priest or rector. DIVIDED is that good.

Content:

(CCC, BBB) Very strong Christian, biblical worldview showing the biblical approach to raising children and teenagers in the Church; and, nothing objectionable or offensive.

DIVIDED is a must-see documentary movie. Well-produced, it presents an interesting, insightful, powerful investigation of why youth ministry is failing in the Church today.

The movie shows what research has found, that by the time they’re 21, 90% of the church youth will leave the Christian faith. Philip Leclerc investigates why his generation is abandoning the Church. What he finds is very interesting: It’s not just the seduction of the world; but rather, after interviewing church youth, youth ministry experts, evangelists, researchers, commentators, and pastors, he discovers youth ministries themselves are part of the problem. He shows how they have strayed from the biblical model of training children, which relies on parents and teaching theology. Thus, strong theological training has been replaced by fun and games.

The whole Sunday School youth movement was started less than 200 years ago by a group that believed more in education than Jesus Christ. The biblical model is a father training the children in the way they should go, with the partnership of the mother. The other model replaces the father with a hip, young youth pastor. Strong theological training is often replaced by fun and games.

Philip even interviews youth pastors trying to do meaty theological training, and they admit their retention rate is only 20%. The system itself is broken. The system is man-made, but the church is God made, and His plan and architecture for the church is much better than man’s. This is the time to return to the biblical plan described in DIVIDED.

DIVIDED is just in time to save the Church from its own self-destruction. It’s highly commended. Please watch it, and give it to your pastor, priest or rector. DIVIDED is that good.
