Summary:

In PIRANHA 3D, a bunch of young pagans celebrating a spring break orgy get sliced, diced and eaten by hordes of prehistoric piranha fish unleashed by an earthquake that releases them from their enclosed underground cave. PIRANHA 3D is one of the most violent, gruesome, sickening, and despicable movies ever made with abundant lewd content and extremely explicit nudity.

Review:

PIRANHA 3D may be the most despicable monster movie ever made. It tries to capitalize on the popularity of Steven Spielberg’s original JAWS masterpiece, but it doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as that movie.

At any rate, in the story, it’s spring break at Victoria Lake in the southwest somewhere (Lake Havasu, Arizona provides the substitute for the location). A “Girls Gone Wild” wannabe ropes the female sheriff’s college-age son to help him find good locations on the lake to shoot nude video of his two “actresses.” A massive underwater earthquake, however, has unleashed hordes of prehistoric piranha fish from an underground cave that was blocked off from the lake. Extremely bloody mayhem soon results.

PIRANHA 3D is one of the most violent, gruesome, sickening, and despicable movies ever made. The graphic violence is extremely over the top. The movie also has abundant foul language as well as extremely explicit nudity. There are also many lewd scenes promoting lesbianism and many tasteless jokes. Finally, the movie contains pointless shots of religious people with signs telling the young pagans cavorting on the lake things like “Read the Bible.” The filmmakers do nothing with this minor subplot, so who knows what to make of it.

All the parties involved in this movie should be ashamed of themselves. How this disgusting movie ever got only an R rating is beyond us. If moviegoers would refrain from spending any money whatsoever on this stupid movie, they would be doing themselves, their friends, their relatives, their neighbors, their country, and the whole human race, not to mention the art of popular moviemaking, a really gigantic favor!

This movie is designed to attract teenage males, but please, please, please don’t let them see this movie.
