THE LOST BOY: THE NEXT CHAPTER

"A Child of the Sixties Redeemed"

What You Need To Know:

LOST BOY: THE NEXT CHAPTER is a fascinating documentary, especially for those of us who lived through the 1960s as part of the Counter Culture. Greg Laurie’s mother was a lost soul. She went through four divorces before she was 25, and then ran from one marriage after another throughout the rest of her life. Her son, Greg, grew up looking for love in all the wrong places. He used his cartooning talent to put psychedelic messages into the high school newspaper. Against his better judgment, he got roped into a Bible study and came to Christ. Thus, Greg became a powerful evangelist and pastor.

LOST BOY is extremely well made. It captures the viewers and makes us laugh and cry. It gives a very accurate portrait of the 1960s and presents the Gospel of Jesus Christ in an extremely winsome, appealing, intelligent way. The story of the Jesus Movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s is fascinating. Greg Laurie’s personal odyssey is an important testimony of how God can reach the least of these, and the death of Greg’s son will capture your heart. MOVIEGUIDE® highly recommends LOST BOY.

Content:
