WHEN CALLS THE HEART couple Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry are expecting their first child!
“We can’t wait to meet you, baby,” they announced in a joint Instagram post. “Premiering 2026.”
Wallace and McGarry met on the set of WCTH in 2018 when they both joined the cast for Season 6. McGarry plays Mountie Nathan Grant, while Wallace played Fiona Miller for five seasons before being written off the show due to scheduling conflicts with new role in LANDMAN.

The couple went public with their relationship in 2020 and confirmed they were married in 2024.
“I owe a lot to WHEN CALLS THE HEART for not only helping my career and giving me a job and meeting all my friends, but meeting Kayla, meeting my wife, it’s been the most special part of being on that show,” McGarry told Swooon.
McGarry also commented on Wallace’s role in LANDMAN, where she plays a tough attorney.
“She’s absolutely killing it,” he said. “She’s fantastic. Everyone on that show is fantastic. I’m very proud of her. She deserves all of this and I’m also enjoying watching LANDMAN, too.”
When asked if he plans on working with Wallace again in the future, McGarry said, “We love working together. I think it’s just more right now, Kayla’s kind of got her own trajectory, going in a different direction, and I think she wants to focus on that. I’d never say never. But, like I said, she’s a busy lady right now, and she’s got prior commitments.”
Wallace and McGarry aren’t the only real-life couple who have found love on the set of WHEN CALLS THE HEART.
“I think there’s just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley,” star Erin Krakow told PEOPLE. “There’s something so special about our show and the energy in Jamestown [British Columbia, Canada], where we shoot.”
Krakow wed her WCTH co-star Ben Rosenbaum this summer after confirming they were dating in early 2024.
The actress shared that that magical quality even extends to the show’s production.
“Things like we’ll have a scene that’s really important that we’re to film outside and it’s been pouring all day. And then miraculously, the rain just stops and we’re able to make it through.” Krakow explained. “And I know that’s not the most romantic illustration of what makes Hope Valley magical, but I do think there’s just something special about the show and the people involved.”
She added, “When you put a bunch of special people together in one place, connections are bound to be made.”
It looks like Wallace and McGarry are more than ready to start this brand-new chapter together!
