Sadie Robertson Huff recently shared the emotional story behind the LO Worship song “I Remind Myself.”

“This is LO Worship, and we walk through a lot of life together, and we wanted to share a little bit of a testimony with you all from where this song we’re going to sing comes from,” Huff said onstage at this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards.

She explained that bandmember Kaylea and her husband were expecting their first child.

“It was just such a sweet season of life, until suddenly it was not that. And in the second trimester, they experienced a miscarriage,” Huff said. “And as you can imagine — and some of you guys in the room don’t have to imagine it because you walked through it yourself — it’s absolutely devastating.”

Huff recalled that the team was in a writing session and asked Kaylea how she was doing. She “got vulnerable and opened up,” which led to the worship team “speaking truth over her, praying over her, reminding her that God is good, even in the midst of pain.”

“They’re reminding her that, even in the darkest moments, God is still present,” she continued. “And then they started singing and declaring these words: ‘I remind myself, You are faithful, God, that is who You are, that is who You are.’ Because worship reminds us of what is true, even when our circumstances tell us otherwise.”

Huff added, “A year later, God gave Kaylea and her husband a sweet little girl…and she is such a beautiful testimony that God can take sorrow and turn it into joy.”

LO Worship have previously spoken about what inspired “I Remind Myself.” In a 2025 Instagram post, the band’s account shared, “That simple phrase became a lifeline, ministering to each of us in unique ways — and it ended up becoming the foundation of the song.”

“Sometimes you have to speak truth to your soul — even when your circumstances scream the opposite,” Kaylea said. “It’s not about singing it once and moving on. It’s about repetition. Persistence. Telling your soul, “He is faithful,” until you believe it again.”

This wasn’t the only exciting moment for Huff at the K-LOVE Fan Awards. She also picked up the award for Most Impactful Podcast of the Year.

“I really believe what we choose to listen to helps shape the people that we become, and I’m so grateful that you would press play each week, lean in, listen, and learn alongside me as we navigate life! I do not take that lightly!” she posted on Instagram. “Thank you, Jesus, for the lives being touched through this!”

LO Worship’s “I Remind Myself” is an anthem for anyone who needs to be reminded of God’s faithfulness.
