LIE DOWN WITH DOGS is a sad, offensive comedy about one homosexual man's pursuit of romance and happiness during a summer at the beach. He finds neither. Numerous profanities, numerous homosexual sex acts and a hedonistic philosophy make this film unsuitable for even the most discerning of viewers.
LIE DOWN WITH DOGS is a sad, offensive comedy about one homosexual’s pursuit of romance and happiness during a summer at the beach. Tommie is a recent college graduate who can’t get a decent job and is becoming very frustrated in New York City. He wants to get away in the worst way. His friend, Eddie, tells Tommie about his forthcoming pleasure trip to Provincetown, Massachusetts. It becomes apparent that this small community attracts swinging homosexuals. Tommie decides to drop everything and join Eddie in Provincetown. Before jumping into the free life, Tommie decides to get a job to support his swinging evenings. He visits the employment office and discovers the job for him is as a houseboy. In time, Tommie meets a buff Latino named Tom. The two fall in love right off and have frequent sexual encounters. Yet, Tommie soon realizes that Tom is merely a mooch, always bumming cigarettes and cheeseburgers. Tommie drops Tom and has a brief liaison with a waiter, and then Tommie falls for the town’s hottest attraction: Ben. Ben is an athletic hunk who everyone in the town desires. Tommie and Ben spend one pleasant day together, but never come together romantically.
Numerous profanities, numerous homosexual sex acts and a hedonistic philosophy make LIE DOWN WITH DOGS unsuitable for even the most callous viewers.
