What You Need To Know:

Based on a true story, SECOND CHANCES is a heartwarming movie about Sunny Matthews, a sweet young girl whose life is changed when her father dies in a car crash. Still recovering from her crash-related injury, Sunny and her mother, Kathy, must move to a trailer park across from Ben Taylor’s Horse Ranch. When Sunny visits the Ranch, she meets a mean and crippled horse named Ginger. Quickly forming a strong bond with Ginger and her owner, Ben, Sunny is given the motivation needed to work on healing her leg. Along the way, she finds her sunshine again and brings healing into the lives of everyone she meets.

SECOND CHANCES is well written with lovable, believable characters. This combination quickly draws viewers into the story. The movie does a good job showing the importance of forgiveness, self-sacrifice and respecting elders. It also tastefully deals with the pain that comes from the death of loved ones and the importance and strength that comes from family and friends. SECOND CHANCES contains some mildly intense scenes and themes, but otherwise is appropriate for all ages.
