After the disastrous outcome of a 1988 Olympic qualifying trial he was destined to win, Jamaican sprinter Derrice Bannock decides his only chance to follow in his father's footsteps to the Olympic games is as a member of the yet-to-be-formed Jamaican bobsled team in the new Disney adventure comedy COOL RUNNINGS. A small amount of mild foul language mars this otherwise fun, enjoyable film which promotes friendship, acceptance, integrity, and teamwork.
TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE
After some "classic" chases, Tom and Jerry's lifestyle turns topsy-turvy when their home is demolished in TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE. On the streets, they befriend Robyn, who has fled her Aunt Figg in search of her missing father. Aunt Figg and her cronies follow them on the chase of a lifetime. TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE is an entertaining family film with plenty of adventure and humor for all ages that incorporates messages of friendship, teamwork and the importance of family.
BEETHOVEN’S 2ND finds the gentle, good-natured St. Bernard star smitten by a demure, feminine lady-love. Trouble is in the person of Missy’s evil owner Regina who heartlessly severs Beethoven and Missy and plots to steal their puppies. BEETHOVEN’S 2ND is more fun, more adventure, more excitement – the highlight of the season!
SISTER ACT II: BACK IN THE HABIT
In SISTER ACT II, Sister Mary Clarence and her "fellow" nuns work on converting some potential delinquents from St. Francis High School into happy, diligent students. Regrettably, there are a few borderline foul words and one profanity uttered by the contemptible school administrator. Even so, the film contains some outstanding musical numbers and clearly communicates the love of God, the value of hard work and the need to acquire Christian virtues--messages that every teenager and adult needs to hear. In its own joyous way, SISTER ACT II may bring some wayward soul to Jesus Christ.
DENNIS THE MENACE
With slingshot, marbles, wagon, and dog Ruff in tow, DENNIS THE MENACE is a disaster waiting to happen, and he is headed for his favorite next-door neighbor, George Wilson. Walter Matthau is literally on the defensive as the cranky old Mr. Wilson, running for his life from the baby-toothed, tow-headed "Menace," brought to inexhaustible life by newcomer Mason Gamble. DENNIS THE MENACE is a harmless, entertaining, fun summer treat for children of all ages. The film portrays a way of life where children are still allowed to be children, happy and safe, neighbors look out for each other, and people and relationships are valued and important.
THE METEOR MAN
THE METEOR MAN is a creative and energetic story about Jefferson Reed, a teacher hit by a magical meteor and transformed into a superhero gifted with super-powers and the motivation to help his inner-city neighbors learn to help themselves. The movie is funny, uplifting and clean, with no foul language, very little sexual content and some violence which earned it the PG-13 rating.
In desperate need of love and the security of a family, 12-year-old Jesse recognizes similar needs in his new-found friend Willy, a 7000-pound killer whale, living in the North West Adventure Park, and knows there can be only one solution...FREE WILLY. This film is well made and very clean, to the point of being refreshing. FREE WILLY is a great treat and suitable for the entire family.
