What You Need To Know:
In the episode “Let Us Pray” of LIVING BIBLICALLY, Chip attempts to learn how to pray. He asks the Priest and Rabbi if the best way to pray is out loud, or quietly, or something else, but they say that’s not really the point. When Chip is at work, he and his co-workers get stuck in an elevator. Everyone else is panicked, but Chip prays, and they’re saved. Later, Chips atheist mother-in-law who has never liked him is visiting, and Chip is worried that she’ll dislike him even more because of his new spiritual journey.
“Let Us Pray” is a sweet episode that thoughtfully tackles the subject of prayer. Chip learns from Father Gene that God isn’t a magical wishing well for us to get whatever we want. However, Chip also learns about the power and beauty of prayer and answered prayer. It’s a fun episode with heartwarming moments.
