Monsters University
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn't always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. "Monsters University" unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Screaming with laughter and fun, "Monsters University" is directed by Dan Scanlon ("Cars," "Mater and the Ghostlight," "Tracy") and produced by Kori Rae ("Up," "The Incredibles," "Monsters, Inc.").

An amusing and amiable addition to Pixar's roster of animated coming-of-age stories.

Mostly memorable for being fine but forgettable.

"Laurence Anyways" is a formidable display of French Canadian director Xavier Dolan's prodigious talents, but also a case study of a young talent still finding his way to greatness. He'll get there one day, soon, but this film doesn't quite do it.
David Lewis, San Francisco Chronicle, 06.27.2013 -
Animation, monsters and the Socratic method? Scanlon and the crew make it work.
