From the very beginning, our ministry of Movieguide®, dedicated to transforming the culture by redeeming the values of the mass media of entertaining according to biblical principles, has had a global impact.
For example, within five years of starting to publish and broadcast Movieguide® in Atlanta, our subscribers, supporters and friends came from as far away as the state of Tasmania, a small island off the coast of Australia.
As Don Stanley, who now lives in Israel, recalls when he was a senior executive with ABC (Australian Broadcasting Company):
"With three kids growing up as teenagers in the early nineties, a big issue in our house was engaging culture - especially in the areas of movies and music...

For years, the mass media has been trying to turn science against religion while trying to demonize anyone who believes in more traditional, and more biblical, forms of Christianity and Judaism.
Such is the case with the new movie "Creation," which opens in two or more cities Christmas day, and wider on Jan. 22, 2010.
Despite its title, "Creation" is not about God creating the Earth. Instead, it's the story of evolution's founding father, Charles Darwin, and his struggle to write the book that would "kill God."
Moving forward and backward in time, the movie shows Darwin's Christian wife struggling with her husband's increasing lack of Christian faith. It also mocks the Christians who oppose ...
President Obama managed to de-Christianize the Holy Day of Christmas recently.
Apparently, the President said at the annual tree lighting ceremony at the White House recently that Christmas is "a tradition that has come to represent more than any one holiday or religion."
Once again, President Obama shows his lack of knowledge, wisdom, experience, and moral conscience.

Not only do most Americans, an estimated 96%, celebrate Christmas, but, according to a November Rasmussen poll, 72% favor saying "Merry Christmas" over "Happy Holidays," with only 22% favoring the generic greeting.
Also, a Rasmussen survey released Dec. 10 showed that 76% of American adults said it's okay to display religious symbols, like Nativity scenes, in public settings, compared to only 11%.
The December poll also showed 83% believe public schools should celebrate religious holidays.

As we all know, or should know, Jesus is the Reason for the Season.
This Christmas, however, we can have total faith in the Bible's record of the Nativity Story, the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. Christianity is true as well as historical, factual and intellectually sound, not to mention emotionally, spiritually and philosophically profound and powerful.
Top scholars, historians and experts have repeatedly confirmed that the Bible is the most historically and intellectually reliable ancient text in the whole world, including the Bible's account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostles and disciples who wrote the New Testament documents. Consid...
The UN's recent "climate change" summit in Copenhagen, Denmark turned into an anti-capitalist, communist rally when the international delegates gave Communist dictator Hugo Chavez of Venezuela a thunderous standing ovation there on Dec. 16.
Meanwhile, President Obama's Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, promised $100 billion a year in taxpayer money by 2020 for left-wing dictators in the "developing" world like Chavez, allegedly so they can upgrade their technology to cut CO2 emissions that, allegedly, cause "global warming"!
Clinton's strange promise came in the wake of reports, which now have been confirmed, that dozens of scientists affiliated with the UN's climate change panel have been distorting their "climate change" data and rep...
Dozens of high-level scientists in Great Britain and the United States affiliated with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change run by the United Nations, the main global agency promoting major economic changes to combat alleged global warming, have been caught trying to distort the climate change "science" in thousands of emails and official documents.
The charges against the scientists include attempts to shut out research gathered by scientists skeptical of global warming.
Russian scientists recently confirmed that some of the "climate change" scientists mishandled Russian temperature data, leading to a discrepancy in Russian temperatures since 1860 of nearly 1.0C!!!
"It has become increasingly difficult for anyone who does not v...
Once again, the Golden Globes, run by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (a group with only about 80 members), pretty much ignored family movies and movies with strong Christian themes in its recent nominations on Dec. 15.
Family movies were mostly nominated only in the animation category. THE BLIND SIDE, one of the most critically acclaimed movies with strong Christian content, only received nominations for Best Actress in a Drama (Sandra Bullock).
Only the 18th Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala on Feb. 23, 2010 will honor the best, most inspiring, and most family-friendly movies of the year.

Much to Hollywood's surprise, THE BLIND SIDE did an end run around THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, which had dominated the box office for two weeks. The faith-filled sports movie brought in $20.4 million in the third weekend of their box office run compared to NEW MOON's $15.7 million.
"We predicted this success for THE BLIND SIDE," says Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of MOVIEGUIDE®. "When you take a great story that has terrific faith content and combine it with excellent filmmaking, you have a hit on your hands."
Today's box office pundits always look to the opening weekend to be the "do or die" scenario for a movie. Conventional wisdom says that a slow opening weekend spells disaster. But, movies sometimes grow by w...
