Iran's Muslim government has arrested more than 30 Christians in the last two weeks as part of its recent violent crackdown on protestors and its purge of opponents.
Most of the Christian victims were released, but eight remain in jail. Also, two Christian women imprisoned since March 5, Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Esmaeilabad, remain in jail because they have refused to recant their Christian faith.
Amnesty International reported on Aug. 7 an average of two executions a day since the controversial presidential elections held June 12.
U.S. President Obama has declined to speak out strongly against the crackdown on Christians and protesters in Iran in favor of "diplomacy."

A young female Marine who often helped with my research, brought a fellow male officer to help move my steel filing cabinets into a larger space. Later, over coffee, the young man politely asked how my research had led me to conclude that Playboy and all other pornography is homoerotic? I spent about an hour answering his questions as to why, after decades of research, I finally understood what I had recalled reading by some liberal philosopher, that all pornography is inherently homosexual. The next morning the female officer called me to say that at sunrise she found the barracks dumpster fill...
MOVIEGUIDE®: The Family Guide to Movies and Entertainment has asked the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) to drop its "failed" ratings system and return to a "standards-based" Code of Decency, announced Dr. Ted Baehr, MOVIEGUIDE®'s founder and publisher.
MOVIEGUIDE® is also asking Americans to sign a petition urging the MPAA to end the ratings system and adopt a Code of Decency.
"The MPAA's ratings system never worked really well, but it has gotten much worse since it added the ambiguous PG-13 rating," Dr. Baehr said. "Parents, especially mothers, can no longer trust the ratings for movies, especially in light of the PG-13 ratings for movies like THE LOVE GURU and LAND OF THE LOST, and the R ratings for pornographic mo...

Apparently, moviegoers have responded to Movieguide®'s call to avoid the "pornographic" movie "Brüno," Dr. Ted Baehr, publisher of Movieguide®, announced today.
"The R-rated movie dropped 72.8% at the box-office its second weekend," Dr. Baehr noted. "This means that moviegoers across the country heard our call to avoid this movie, which should have been X-rated in the first place."
With the hype and anticipation, BRUNO opened to a $30,619,130 take at the box office, but even by Sunday of the opening weekend, it showed signs of an extreme drop. Its second weekend, the movie brought in only $8,318,385, and has made less than $60 million in the U.S. and Canada as of Aug. 4.
Movieguide® launched a campaign for local...

I was recently asked, "What do we do if we get to the point where we have to choose to pay taxes and fund abortions or refuse to pay and go to jail?"
Does anyone honestly believe the government hasn't already funded massive infanticide? Planned Parenthood has fed greedily at the government trough for decades. If withholding tax dollars is a good idea, we should have started long before now.
The Government funds an entire education system designed to rid children of belief in God - especially at the college level. Many Christians have been dutifully paying tuition to Christian schools AND taxes for everyone else's kids to go to the local godless schools.
If you really want to change America, withhold y...
The number of Muslims in Great Britain increased 26.3% from 2004 to 2008, from 1.9 million to 2.4 million, but the number of Christians actually decreased 4.5% during that period, from 44.6 million to 42.6 million.
Peter Hitchens, a journalist and broadcaster, believes this means that Britain "could soon become a Muslim country."
"Christianity in this country is too feeble," Hitchens added.
His comments echo those of The Right Reverend Paul Richardson, Assistant Bishop of Newcastle, who said that declining church attendance and the rise in multiculturalism in Britain means that "Christian Britain is dead."
Alison Ruoff, an evangelical lay member of the Church of England, agrees that Britain is "sleepwalking" into an Islamic state.
For those of you who say, "It's only a movie," consider the life of one missionary, Ken Taylor, a Filipino-born former nightclub entertainer.
After he and his wife accepted Jesus Christ, they began to make short-term mission trips to Japan. Then, in 1997, they moved to Japan under the auspices of a ministry called World Venture, to become musical missionaries.
In Japan, they discovered that the 1992 movie SISTER ACT starring Whoopi Goldberg about a lounge singer who helps some nuns form a choir putting religious lyrics to popular songs had inspired Japanese businesses and community centers to offer Gospel choir lessons.
About 10 years ago, Ken formed his first "Black Gospel" choir composed mostly of Non-Christian people of Japanese ances...
Washington, D.C. - Obama administration officials told the Senate Armed Services Committee on July 7 that they plan to give some constitutional rights, including the adoption of the exclusionary rule against evidence obtained through coercion, to the 229 alleged foreign terrorists detained at Guantanamo, the US naval base in southern Cuba.
Republican Senator John McCain of Ariz. opposes the plan.
"I did not know, nor know, of any time in American history where enemy combatants were given rights under the United States Constitution," McCain said.
McCain has proposed new rules that would make the procedures for the military trials of the Gitmo detainees resemble courts-martial.

The Brazilian Supreme Court has ruled that adult sex with children is not necessarily a crime, "sparking a protest from the United Nations," LifeSiteNews reports.
The court on June 23 "upheld the acquittal of several men who had paid two girls, 12 and 13 years of age, to have sexual intercourse with them, on the grounds that prostitution was not covered by child sex abuse statutes."
What the misguided jurists on the court seem to forget is that many children are forced into prostitution, often by older and stronger criminals or because of terrible poverty. Also, underage children lack the mental development to be able to decide such things on their own to begin with anyway.
"The decision is almost a license for abuse and exploitation," A...
