Parents of Suicide Victim Want Laws Against ‘Sexting’

The parents of an 18-year-old Cincinnati girl, who committed suicide after people distributed a nude photo of her sent to her boyfriend, are launching a national campaign for laws against "sexting" - the practice of sending or posting sexually explicit cell-phone photos.   Cynthia Logan, mother of Jessie, the teen in question, are attaching Jessie's name to the campaign.   After the picture got around, Jessie was mercilessly taunted and called names, even by students who did not go to her school. A recent comment by actor Alec Baldwin of TV's 30 ROCK shows how hypocritical Hollywood can be when it comes to taxes. During a local cable show in New York City, Baldwin rebuked New York Governor David Paterson for suggesting that the cancellation of a 35% tax credit for movies shot in New York City could help reduce the state's $7 billion deficit. "If these tax breaks are not reinstated," Baldwin said, "film production in this town is going to collapse, and television is going to collapse, and it's all going to go to California." School Shooter in Germany Played Violent Video Game, Liked Horror Movies

Two reports about a 17-year-old school shooter in Winnenden, Germany who murdered 15 people say that the teenager not only played a violent video game that involves killing people to complete missions but also had a large collection of horror movies. The shooter targeted mostly females, killing eight female students and three female teachers. The teenager used a gun from his father's collection of 15 firearms. The father was a member of the local gun club and kept all the weapons locked away except for the handgun, which was kept in the bedroom. Obama Attacks on Limbaugh Almost Double His Ratings!

Recent attacks on conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh by the Obama administration and its Clinton cronies have nearly doubled his ratings, James Hirsen's LEFT COAST REPORT on Newsmax notes.   Limbaugh's ratings have gone from 14.2 million listeners to about 25 million, according to Talkers magazine, since being targeted by the administration.   Reportedly, the attacks originated from suggestions by former Bill Clinton aides James Carville and Paul Begala. Indiana Babysitters Arrested for Raping Children

A couple running a home babysitting service in Veedersburg, Ind., have been arrested for videotaping themselves raping several children aged two months to six years. Police found other pornography in the house. They also seized several computers, cameras, video equipment, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and sex toys. Belief in God Necessary for Morality, Americans Assert

Most Americans, 57%, agree "it is necessary to believe in God in order to be moral," but 99% agree with that statement in Egypt, 84% in Turkey, 82% in Nigeria, and 66% in India. Most Americans Pray Daily

The vast majority of Americans, 90%, say they pray daily, while 50% say they pray several times a day, according to a Brandeis Univ. study. The study also reported that about 80% begin their prayers with a familiar greeting like "Dear Lord" or "Hello, Jesus," 75% of Americans pray for themselves, families and friends, and only 25% pray for themselves alone.
