Review:

CRESCENDO is a short movie set in 17th Century Germany about a young pregnant woman who struggles with the decision to allow her baby to be born into her miserable world.

Maria is stuck in a marriage with a drunkard husband, who beats her repeatedly and cheats on her continually. She can’t imagine bringing a child into such a painful environment. Maria decides it’s best if she poisons the unborn child in order to protect it from abuse, but things don’t go according to plan…and her choice changes the world.

CRESCENDO is a beautiful, powerful, transformational short movie that reveals an important deeper truth. The movie has wonderful performances and fantastic sets that help tell this inspiring story. The movie’s message comes at a critical time for our society as the fight for the life of the unborn continues every day. More and more people are realizing the devastating effect of abortion in our country, and CRESCENDO is another tool to help that cause. Some of the mature themes could be frightening for little children. Otherwise, however, CRESCENDO is an important movie for everyone to see.
