TikToker Emily Vondy is sharing how God met her with “perfect love” during the birth of her fifth child.
“This was the first time I felt like God really met me,” Vondy said in a video for No Lack Of Plot, a site where people share their stories, as she spoke about her most recent pregnancy.
The website reads, “Even if it’s not your story or experience, you can take something from it and that’s the whole point. We hope that by sharing people’s testimonies that it will bring hope, joy, freedom and breakthrough to those who hear them.”
Vondy shared that she had a difficult pregnancy, full of self-doubt and fear about her capabilities as a mother. However, that all soon changed.
“I woke up [one] night, and it was like I was overhearing God praying over me,” she explained. “And He was praying, like, ‘Yes, you are equipped. I have given you this child, and you will mother this child well.’ And I think, from that moment, I was like, ‘We can do this.’ And that was kind of just the first way God met me.”
As Vondy continued to struggle with fear, she reminded herself, “His grace is sufficient. His power is perfect in my weakness. When I’m weak, then I am strong.”
“Moving forward, any time I had a moment of fear, I would just say those simple phrases in my mind,” she said. “I could rejoice in that weakness, because God was just as thrilled to be with me, holding me.”
Vondy gave birth to daughter Vivian in November of 2023. Movieguide® previously reported:
TikTok personality Emily Vondy is giving thanks for the “privilege of motherhood” as she prepares to give birth.
“You made it! You’re in labor, and you’re absolutely remarkable,” she said in a video where her past self addressed her future, in-labor self. “She’s coming at the perfect time, and today is a perfect day to meet your daughter.”
She continued, “I want you to know how strong and fierce you are. I want you to know that you can do this, and you can do this unafraid. You can do this joyfully, because each rise in intensity is bringing you one step closer to holding your baby.”
In a later Instagram story, Vondy updated fans, writing, “She’s here. Born at 1:17 am. 8 lbs 9 ounces. We are both doing great. More to come, but now we sleep.”
“This whole story, from start to finish, was miraculous to me. The way He literally replaced my fear with His perfect love,” Vondy continued. “He will give you the confidence and the worth that you want so badly to have. That’s from Him. It’s not from yourself. It’ll never match what God can put in you, because it’s perfect love and it’s no shame or condemnation.”
Vondy often shares her faith on social media. In one recent post, she wrote, “Sometimes the business and stressors of life cause me to stop listening. Yet Christ still beckons me. Not harsh or stern, but compassionately. Forever luring me upward. And if I pause enough to listen, all is well with my soul once again.”
