More Detail:
Annie loves her job as a flight attendant, traveling the world and seeing all the things she dreamed of as a child. However, she loses her job after her airline merges with another one. Her boss promises to do everything possible to hire her back and tells her she can return to work in a few months.
In the meantime, Annie goes home to her boyfriend, who tells her she doesn’t need to worry about her job, because she can move in with him and let him take care of her. Annie tells him she won’t move in before marriage, and he reveals that he never wants to get married. So, Annie breaks up with him and heads home to her grandmother’s farm in Kentucky.
Annie has to readjust to life with her grandmother, who raised her after her mother died, from the loud rooster crowing every morning to Sunday morning church services. She’s also surprised to see Jake, her childhood friend, who has also recently returned to their hometown.
Jake and Annie reconnect, and he tells her he’s come home to begin farming, as well as open a farm-to-table restaurant. Annie starts to get back in the swing of farm life, growing closer to her grandmother and making friends in town.
When her grandmother suddenly needs emergency knee surgery, Annie promises to be there for her and keep the farm running. She starts to realize that, not only is she enjoying her time in Kentucky, but she might want to stay.
However, a few days after her grandmother returns home, Annie gets a call from her boss, who tells her she can return to work the following week.
