FORREST GUMP star Gary Sinise is the latest actor to team up with the Hallow App, “the number 1 app for prayer.”

“Friends, I am excited to share that my brother @garysiniseofficial is leading @hallowapp’s newest prayer challenge, American Heroes,” THE CHOSEN star Jonathan Roumie shared on Instagram.

“Gary, alongside @cardinaltimothymdolan and Sr. Grace Dominic, will walk us through the lives of the heroes and Saints who shaped this nation,” he explained. “For 250 years, we have endeavored to be one nation under God. This is our opportunity to reflect on that legacy and on who we are called to be.”

The Hallow American Heroes campaign began on Monday and will last for 13 days. The campaign will “take a look back at the lives of the extraordinary men and women who gave everything for their faith and our nation.”

For day 1, Sinise and Sr. Grace Dominic talked about Kateri Tekakwitha, “a woman whose life demonstrates the incredible freedom we have as Americans to worship the Lord proudly without fear.”

On Tuesday, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Sr. Grace Dominic took listeners all the way back to 1776 to “hear all about Charles Carroll of Carrollton – the only Catholic to sign the Declaration of Independence.”

Also on Tuesday, Sinise celebrated his organization’s, Gary Sinise Foundation, 15th anniversary.

He started the foundation with one simple mission: “to serve and honor our nation’s defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families,” Sinise wrote in a post on social media.

“And the incredible impact we’ve made together over the last decade and a half has been remarkable,” he continued. “From specially adapted smart homes and support for families of fallen heroes to programs serving our wounded heroes and first responders, our ever expanding reach, touching more and more lives in such a positive way would not have been possible without the generosity of the American people.”

Sinise went on to express his gratitude for all of the people involved in his mission.

“As we celebrate this milestone, I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has joined us on this journey. And thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the McBunch family, every gift made during our 15th Anniversary celebration will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $250,000,” he said. “Thank you for helping us serve those who sacrifice so much for our country. Here’s to the next 15 years.”

Through his new partnership with the Hallow app and the ongoing, life-changing work of his foundation, Sinise continues to demonstrate a steadfast commitment to honoring service and sacrifice. By bridging faith, history and tangible support for veterans and first responders, Sinise’s latest endeavors reinforce his enduring legacy as a true champion for America’s heroes.
