AMERICAN IDOL Winner Makes Big Career Change: ‘Grateful’

In the middle of her summer tour, AMERICAN IDOL winner Hannah Harper made a major career move.

Harper first struck a deal with 19 Recordings/Atlanta Records but has now moved to WME Group, a global talent agency.

“It’s a blessing to work alongside people who share the same goal: creating great music, serving others well and pointing people to Jesus along the way,” Harper said in a statement regarding the new representation. “I immediately connected with Morgan Kenney’s vision, heart and the way she champions the people she serves. I’m honored to be represented by WME and excited to see what doors this partnership may open. Grateful is an understatement.”

“I have tremendous admiration for Hannah. Her authenticity is rooted in her unwavering faith and strong family values,” one of Harper’s new agents added, per TV Insider. “She possesses a rare combination of artistry, character, and star power that resonates both on and off the stage. We are honored to welcome her to WME and look forward to helping build the next chapter of her already remarkable journey.”

On June 7, Harper made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry, a moment she never thought she’d get.

“What made this day so special wasn’t just the stage — it was the people. Friends and family stopping by backstage with flowers, hugs, little gifts and encouragement made it feel less like a performance and more like a celebration,” she wrote in a post on Instagram. “Getting to stand in that Circle with my brothers is something I’ll never forget. They’ve been beside me from the very beginning, and some of my favorite memories have been made making music with them.”

Harper also began her String Cheese summer tour, which made her debut even “sweeter.”

What’s made this sudden life change even better? Having her family right there with her.

“Watching my husband and boys embrace this season alongside me has been one of the greatest gifts. What started as my dream has become a family mission,” she said in the post. “As I reflect on this night, I’m reminded that I didn’t get here alone. So many people have prayed for us, encouraged us and believed in us long before any of this seemed possible.”

The mom of three is most grateful to God for the many blessings she’s experienced.

“Most of all, I’m grateful to the Lord. Every open door has been His doing, and my prayer is that every stage, every song, and every opportunity points back to Him,” she concluded. “What a gift this day has been.”
