Kathie Lee Gifford shared a heartwarming video of her singing a lullaby to her 2-month-old granddaughter while celebrating her daughter Cassidy’s birthday.
“Such a joy to hold my beautiful daughter’s beautiful daughter. Happy Birthday to her Mama, my precious Cassidy,” Gifford wrote in the caption of the video where she sings “A Bushel and a Peck” to her granddaughter Rosie Mae.
Rosie Mae was born on June 3 and is Gifford’s first granddaughter and fourth grandchild. Rosie Mae will not be the youngest in the Gifford clan for long, though. The TV personality’s daughter-in-law, Erika is expecting her third child by the end of the year.
“I am overjoyed at the beautiful birth of my first granddaughter, Miss Rosie MAE,” Gifford said after Rosie Mae was born. “She is beyond gorgeous just like her Mama and we are praising God for the birth and the health of both Mama and the baby.”
“Beyond blessed by the birth of my first granddaughter. Rosie Mae you are so loved 🕊️🤍,” Gifford added on Instagram along with a photo of her granddaughter clutching her thumb on June 12.
Cassidy shared a similar excitement about the birth of her first daughter when she shared on Instagram that Rosie Mae had been born healthy and without complications.

“Rosie Mae Wierda! Born at 9:59 am on 6/03/2025. You are a million prayers answered, Rosie girl. We love you so much. 1 Samuel 1:27,” Cassidy wrote. The Bible verse she shared reads: “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him.”
Gifford has been a grandmother for over three years now and loves every second of it. She previously shared how much joy she receives from watching her children step into the role of parenthood while also continuing to balance the rest of their lives.
“I had my children later in life and I’ve certainly had my grandchildren later,” she told PEOPLE. “It is exactly what everybody’s always told me, which seems like such a cliché. But clichés — they’re real. Because they’re true.”
“There is nothing like it in the whole world. To see my children, first of all, so in love with their spouses. I’m so grateful to God for that. They picked wisely. They’re so in love and it makes me so happy,” she continued.
“Then to see them parenting the way they do, which is beyond,” Gifford added. “Cody’s wife was bedridden for like six months with their second baby and the love they showed each other and the love they had for this unborn child that they were just going to save no matter what happened.”
It is so sweet to be given a peek into Gifford’s life as a grandmother and celebrate the coming of new life with her as she relishes the newest addition to her family.
