‘Thank You Jesus’: TikToker Emily Vondy Welcomes Baby No. 5

By Movieguide® Contributor

TikTok personality Emily Vondy is giving thanks for the “privilege of motherhood” as she prepares to give birth.

“You made it! You’re in labor, and you’re absolutely remarkable,” she said in a video where her past self addressed her future, in-labor self. “She’s coming at the perfect time, and today is a perfect day to meet your daughter.”

She continued, “I want you to know how strong and fierce you are. I want you to know that you can do this, and you can do this unafraid. You can do this joyfully, because each rise in intensity is bringing you one step closer to holding your baby.”

“So welcome it!” Vondy said. “Dive in. This is good. You are safe. God has got you and has equipped and empowered you to not only birth your baby, but to mother all of your children well. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for this privilege of motherhood.”

In a later Instagram story, Vondy updated fans, writing, “She’s here. Born at 1:17 am. 8 lbs 9 ounces. We are both doing great. More to come, but now we sleep.”

Vondy has been sharing her pregnancy journey with fans online, but she did take a step back from social media as she got closer to delivery.

“As much as I’ve loved this series and it truly has kept my spirits up, it’s time for it to come to an end,” she said, referring to a series of videos following her as she went days past her due date.

Vondy continued, “I’m going to disconnect from social media for a bit. And really just soak up these last hours (or days) as a family of 6 as we prepare our home and hearts for baby girl’s arrival. I promise to let you all know when I finally am in labor! I’ll need my prayer warriors.”

The internet personality previously announced her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy and an early miscarriage before becoming pregnant again.

“We are both so thankful, hopeful and excited for this gift of new life,” she wrote. “Some of this is very vulnerable to share so please be kind but It was important to me to show the realities behind pregnancy after loss and the realities of welcoming in a new life before you felt ready to. Giving space to those who have walked this journey or are walking it right now . You’re not alone.”

Vondy continued, “God has already done so much to prepare my heart and I trust He will continue to be my Strength when I’m weak. Baby number 5 making their grand entrance into this beautifully chaotic household October 2023.”
