THE SANDLOT star Patrick Renna and his wife, Jasmin, just welcomed a new baby, and the newly minted dad-of-three couldn’t be happier.
“My boys have been pleasantly amazing with her,” Renna told Parents.
The couple’s first daughter, Lily June, arrived on July 2, 2025, joining brothers Flynn, 8, and Liam, 5.
“I was a little worried about Liam becoming the middle child, but he’s been so sweet with Lily,” the actor commented. “Honestly, bringing this female dynamic into the house has been the best thing that’s ever happened. I feel sorry for the guy that tries to date her in 18 years, but other than that — I sit at the dining room table holding her and looking at them, and I’m like, ‘This is so great.’”
Following Lily’s birth, Renna praised his wife on Instagram, saying he’s “even more in awe of my wife and all moms out there. Mom is good. Baby is good. Brothers are good. Dad is… how much time you got?”
Renna rose to fame as Hamilton “Ham” Porter in the 1993 baseball flick THE SANDLOT, which Movieguide® gave a +1, and the movie still impacts his life today.
“People ask if it ever gets old talking about the same movie for over 30 years. It doesn’t. How could it?” Renna wrote on social media about THE SANDLOT. “I’ve gotten to meet so many amazing people because of it. It’s been passed down through three generations at this point. That’s pretty crazy. Why else would you want to be an actor, director, or filmmaker if not to be part of something that means as much as THE SANDLOT does to so many people?”
He even got to step back up to the plate and join the Savannah Bananas in an at-bat.

“This night with the Savannah Bananas reminded me how special being part of this movie is,” he continued. “A night to remember. Even more special was that my 8-year-old was there to see 45,000 people cheer on his pop. Thank you, everyone, for doing that. I’m sorry I didn’t hit it out of the park. 400 feet is a lot longer than the sandlot was. But, hey, I got a piece! Was it a meatball? Yes. But it was still a 70 MPH meatball. Fine, 63. Whatever who’s counting? Not the point! Is yellow slimming? No, no, it’s not. Also, not the point!
“The point is, I just wanted to say that moment meant a whole lot to me, and I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who still love this movie, us 9 boys made over 3 decades ago. Thanks to @yellowtuxjesse for having me out to the game,” Renna concluded. “Hopefully, I can continue to entertain you with more projects that mean even a fraction of what THE SANDLOT has meant.”
While adding a new member to his family takes a little adjusting, Renna wouldn’t trade it for anything.
