Grab your guitar and your camp trunk: CAMP ROCK 3 hits Disney Channel Aug. 13 and lands on Disney+ the very next day.
“CAMP ROCK is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, when the sequel was greenlit last fall. “Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation.”
Disney dropped a new teaser Wednesday, giving fans their first real look at the next generation of Camp Rockers alongside a performance clip of the movie’s first single, “One Beat Away.” The song, performed by newcomer Liamani Segura and the cast, is already streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube Music, with the full soundtrack available for pre-order starting July 13 and arriving digitally on premiere day.
The story picks up when Connect 3 — the band fronted by Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas’s characters — loses its opening act ahead of a major reunion tour. The trio heads back to Camp Rock looking for the next big thing, and the campers competing for the gig wind up tangled in rivalries, alliances and a few romances along the way.
Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas reprise their roles as Shane, Nate and Jason Gray, with Maria Canals-Barrera also returning as Connie. Joining them are Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Sherry Cola as Lark, Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie and Ava Jean as Madison.

Veronica Rodriguez directs from a script by Eydie Faye, with choreography by Jamal Sims. Tim Federle executive produces alongside Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Demi Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman and Gary Marsh, and Disney gave a nod to Alan Sacks for his role in building the original franchise.
It’s a franchise Movieguide® has tracked closely since word first broke that the Jonas brothers were heading back to camp. CAMP ROCK (2008) and CAMP ROCK 2: THE FINAL JAM (2010) both landed among the top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time and were the No. 1 cable movie premieres in their respective years. Nearly two decades later, the franchise still turns up in fan-made clips and viral moments online, proof that a catchy tune and a clean coming-of-age story don’t really go out of style.
That’s worth noting for parents scanning the summer lineup. CAMP ROCK built its reputation on musical talent and teenage friendship drama rather than anything edgier, and nothing here suggests the threequel is straying from that formula. It won’t answer anyone’s deep questions, but it’s the kind of harmless, tune-filled distraction families can put on without a second thought — which, these days, counts for something.
Disney and the Jonas camp are also leaning into the nostalgia beyond the movie itself. The “Worlds Collide Concert Tour,” featuring stars from the DESCENDANTS, ZOMBIES and CAMP ROCK franchises, returns to North America this fall with 49 stops across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, followed by 11 European dates in 2027. Tickets are on sale now at WorldsCollideTour.com.
CAMP ROCK 3 premieres Aug. 13 on Disney Channel and Aug. 14 on Disney+.
