DeVon Franklin recently shared his story, both the good and the bad, through a one-man show that he’ll bring to audiences in a new way by releasing the audio on Audible next year.

“It’s an awesome opportunity to have theater, to be able to express and explore, you know, what I’ve gone through. And I believe what I’ve gone through will reach others. It’s really going to be  a show of hope and inspiration,” Franklin told PIX 11 News. “Sometimes we go through heartbreak, we don’t know how to get healing. We go through the darkness, we don’t know how to get to the light. And so, I wanted to do this one-man show to share my story because I believe that what I’ve gone through could help others with what they’re going through.”

Creating this show, however, was not easy for Franklin as he dove into the hardest times in his life, including his divorce. Nonetheless, he found the journey healing for himself and believes the vulnerability and transparency towards his story can help others who have walked a similar path.

“In ‘Be True,’ DeVon Franklin takes the stage in his most vulnerable and groundbreaking work yet – blending spiritual insight, raw emotional honesty, and theatrical storytelling gto share his evolution through one of the most difficult chapters of his life,” a synopsis of the show reads. “In a bold departure from the pulpit and silver screen, Franklin opens the door to his most intimate truths, from the pain of public heartbreak to the clarity of personal rebirth. Franklin combines storytelling, spiritual insight, and emotional transparency in a performance that is as soul-stirring as it is unforgettable.”

While “Be True” is Franklin’s most personal work to date, the storyteller is no stranger to sharing transformational works with the public. Franklin’s work has been recognized multiple times at Movieguide®’s annual Gala including HEAVEN IS FOR REAL, MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN, JESUS REVOLUTION and FLAMIN’ HOT.

“As a Christian executive working [HEAVEN IS FOR REAL], people said, ‘DeVon, why do you want to put your whole career on a faith-based movie?’ I said, ‘You don’t understand. That is what I am here to do. If I can’t bring faith to the world, then I don’t deserve to be in this position,’” Franklin told Movieguide® in 2015.

In the decade since, Franklin has remained committed to this mission. “Be True” is his next step towards this goal and will surely help its listeners grow closer to God as they find hope in the difficulties they face today.

“Be True” will be available on Audible starting Jan. 29, 2026.
