Christian Yankees Outfielder Hits Massive Home Run Record

Christian New York Yankee’s outfielder and home run machine Aaron Judge just hit his 300th home run, making him the fastest player ever to reach that milestone.

Per Sports Illustrated, “Entering Wednesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox, Judge, sitting at 299 home runs for his career, was on the doorstep of the 300-home run club, of which 161 players are in. Judge became the 162nd, belting a three-run home run in the eighth inning of Wednesday’s 10-2 victory.”

“It’s a great achievement,” Judge said of the moment. “Like I said a couple days ago, I was hoping it would come in a win. It came in a big win for us. We were down for a little bit, couldn’t get much going, so I was just excited it was there in a big moment.”

As he hit that 300th home run, the Yankees bench erupted.

“That means a lot,” Judge said of his team. “These guys grind with me every single day. I know the hard work they put in. They see what I do. That was pretty special.”

When compared to Ralph Diner and Babe Ruth, who both passed the same record, Judge felt honored.

“Those are some guys that have done a lot of great things in this game,” he explained. “You throw around a lot of those names to people who don’t know baseball and they know who they are. It’s a special group to be in.”

In 2022, Judge also achieved the most home runs in a single season, putting him past the previous record holder, Roger Maris.

“It’s an incredible honor and there’s a lot of emotions,” he told the Yes Network at the time. “It took me a little longer than I wanted to but…it’s something pretty special.”

He gave God the glory for that achievement, writing, “Such a blessing from God to share that moment with so many special people!”

Judge doesn’t shy away from his faith, proudly declaring he’s a Christian in his Instagram bio.

“He put me in this position, blessed me with so many opportunities in my life,” he said during his rookie season. “I just try to take a quick moment just to kind of thank Him…It’s a blessing every time I step on that field and get that opportunity.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Judge:

Regarding family, Judge is open about his adoption. When he was 10, Judge learned that he was adopted by his parents, Patty and Wayne Judge.

“I knew I didn’t look like them,” Judge told NorthJersey.com. “I finally said, ‘OK, what’s going on?’ and that’s when they told me. I was fine with that, they were the only parents I ever knew. It actually wasn’t a big deal.”

“Christian. Faith, Family, then Baseball. If what you did yesterday still seems big today, then you haven’t done anything today!” the player’s bio reads.

Judge also posts scripture and encouraging messages on his Twitter account for his nearly 500K followers.

According to the Daily Citizen, Judge’s life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:7.

“It’s one of my favorite Bible verses,” Judge said. “[I] try to live my life by it, and always trust the Man above and what He’s got in store for us. We never know what’s around the corner, but if we have faith in Him, He will lead us in the right direction.”
