Wait, a Video Game That’s Good for Your Health?

Millions of people across the world became addicted to Pokemon Go when it crashed into our lives. You were either among the hordes of people looking for PokeStops or Pokemon Gyms, or you were one of the curious onlookers staring at large gathering’s of people, wondering what the big deal was.

CNET recently reported that a study was done by the American Heart Association which tracked 167 players of Pokemon Go and found that people walked on average 2,000 additional steps per day after playing Pokemon Go.

People who took place in the survey and played the game were also twice as likely to reach a daily step goal of 10,000 steps.

It may be time to trade in the gym membership for the Pokemon Gym hunt.
