Alexa PenaVega updated fans and thanked them for their prayers after almost losing two fingers.
“Thank you for all the prayers. Healing is going so well!!!” she posted on Instagram. “Moving so much today! I basically smashed my fingers between a moving dolly and a treadmill. Rachel in the ER did her best stitching me together.”
PenaVega added, “It was for sure a Frankenstein type stitch since the fingers were smashed open and not cut. (I know. Ew). But I will be back to me in no time! So thankful it wasn’t worse!!!”
She posted about the injury earlier this week, writing, “So yesterday I almost lost two fingers 😂🙈🤷🏼. But praise Jesus they are still there!!!”
In an Instagram Story, PenaVega explained the accident in further detail, writing, “Story time: Basically, I tried pulling the dolly out from under the treadmill that was loaded with stuff on it. Literally as Carlos was walking in saying he had it…it felt on my hand smashing it between the dolly.”

“We had to kinda Frankenstein stitch them together since it wasn’t a clean cut,” she continued. “Trying to gently move them today to maintain movement and praying for total healing!”
PenaVega recently shared a photo marking the one-year anniversary of the stillbirth of her and husband Carlos PenaVega’s daughter Indy.
“This was the most painful moment I have ever experienced,” she wrote. “I remember it feeling so hard to breathe. Such a deep aching pain…How was this real? It didn’t feel real. Every emotion flooded in at once.”
PenaVega continued, “And yet, despite devastating loss, we felt so held…so covered…a super natural peace. It was all out of our control. We had to give it all over to God. The burden was too heavy for us to carry so He took the weight off of us and draped us in His peace.”
“Over this last year we have watched LIFE come out of her life,” she concluded. “We watched people heal because of Indy. We watched grief lifted because of Indy. We watched relationships be restored…God gave her life SO MUCH FRUIT …so much meaning and purpose. Our sweet girl is celebrating with Jesus today. And While we still mourn and wish we had her in our arms… we know she is waiting for us in a place that is beyond anything we can imagine.”
PenaVega’s fans are glad to hear that her recent injury isn’t too bad and that she’s already getting back to normal!
