Kevin Hart Continues to Give God the Glory After Near-Fatal Wreck
By Allyson Vannatta, Staff Writer
Comedian Kevin Hart publicly thanked God for his life at the E! People’s Choice Awards (PCAs) on Sunday.
The comedian accepted the first award of the night for the best comedy act of 2019.
“First and foremost, thank God because I definitely don’t have to be here,” Hart said.
The speech follows in the same vein as Hart’s recent comments about the Lord saving his life in a near fatal car crash.
The comedian has been in intensive rehabilitation and physical therapy for his injuries.
The crash appears to have been a wake-up call for the often-vulgar performer.
“When God talks, you got to listen,” Hart said in an Instagram post about a month after the accident.

As for Hart’s PCA speech, the comedian also used the opportunity to honor his family.
“Being that I am [alive after the wreck], it makes me appreciate life even more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. Family,” he continued. “I want to thank my wife and kids, who really stepped up to the plate for me.”
Hart ended his acceptance speech thanking his fans, “You have no idea the effect you have on us as entertainers. Your energy, your support. It means the world and I truly want to thank you guys for being there for me in my difficult time.”
