More Detail:
BLUEPRINT TO THE HEART is a romantic comedy on UPtv about a genius interior designer hosting a home renovation program on TV who decides to do a program about renovating a carpenter’s whole life, not just his house. BLUEPRINT TO THE HEART is funny and heartwarming, with an uplifting message about the dangers of closing yourself off from human relationships.
The movie opens with Tiffany prepping for another episode of her home renovation show on the Home Design Channel. Tiffany has mastered her act as a TV personality, and things seem to be going well.
Right before the final house reveal, Tiffany’s carpenter is replaced by Brooks. Tiffany becomes stressed because a table isn’t complete. However, Brooks, who’s laidback and the exact opposite of Tiffany, assures her it will be done by the time the homeowners arrive. Tiffany ends up helping him complete the table and takes her place to greet the homeowners. As the workers clear out of the house, the kitchen faucet is broken, and water sprays everywhere. Brooks tries to stop it, but it’s too late. The episode is a disaster in Tiffany’s eyes, but the producers love Brooks.
Despite Tiffany’s design genius and a polished show, the network has competitors causing her ratings to drop. To save the show, and to Tiffany’s dismay, Tiffany’s ex-boyfriend joins the program as co-producer. The new strategy is to take the renovation idea and apply it to someone’s entire life, not just their house.
After some convincing, Brooks decides to be a part of the project and help save the show. Tiffany and Brooks could not be more different, but they’re forced to learn more about each other as the filming of the show continues. In fact, although tensions are high, it turns out Tiffany and Brooks may have more in common than they first thought. However, a breach of trust could put an end to their relationship and budding romance.
