More Detail:

Oliver Stone turns his lenses on pornographer Larry Flynt in the movie THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLYNT. Played by Woody Harrelson, Larry Flynt ran strip clubs in Ohio and created Hustler featuring not only naked women, but couples copulating. Encouraged by his wife, Althea (played by Courtney Love), Flynt built a porn empire to rival Hugh Hefner until he was challenged by two local anti-porn crusaders, who took him to his first of many court cases involving obscenity law violations. Flynt became enraged against organized religion and moral Americans when he was shot by a snipers bullet. Permanently paralyzed from the waste down, Flynt renounced God and began to slam Jerry Falwell, the leader of the “Moral Majority.” With the help of his lawyer, Flynt took Falwell all the way to the Supreme Court. and established legally questionable precedents for libel cases.

While well told, this movie has a large amount of offensive content with blatant nudity, obscenity and blasphemous remarks. Flynt calls himself a pervert. Free speech is an important topic for Christians because if speech can be censored, than witnesses for Christ can be censored, but, Flynt isn’t interested in championing free speech, but championing his own lust and anger. This movie is getting a lot of critical praise, but moral Americans will stay away from it.
