Behind the Scenes of THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER’S WAR with the Stars

What happens when you’re in a room with Hollywood stars like Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, and Charlize Theron? Comments about family and acting, mixed with laughter and a behind-the-scenes look of the movie set for THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER’S WAR.
When asked why she wanted to be in the movie, Chastain said she wanted to play something lighter than what she usually does.
“I had just done a lot of movies where I was playing characters going through very dark things,” she explained, “and I was so bored with my life. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh I’m always on a set, and I’m constantly playing these sad things. I wanted to do something fun.’ So, being on the set with these people, we laughed a lot. It’s the most laughing I think I have ever had on a set.”
Actress Emily Blunt briefly discussed how she chooses a role and talked about how grateful she is for being able to do what she does.
“I always make choices based on what I am inspired by,” she said.
“I never imagined that I would be here,” Blunt added. “I think it is still a very surreal place. I know we all feel that. You’re breathing very rarified air if you are able to work within this industry, even to just work, you’re just so fortunate, to be able to make choices and play people. Acting is sort of the ultimate form of empathy in some ways. So, I don’t take it for granted, and I still feel very inspired by what I do. I love it.”
Finally, the actors said the HUNTSMAN set was different than other movie sets they’ve made in their careers, because they decided to bring their own children to the set.
“It was a whole difference energy on this, because we all had our kids there a lot of the time,” Chris Hemsworth said. “Normally, the set tends to be respectful [and] quiet. But, when the kids came, they were chasing each other with the weapons and yelling.”
“So, we are raising them really well,” Charlize Theron joked.
