Candace Cameron Bure Calls Prayer Her ‘Immediate Connection To God’

Candace Cameron Bure recently opened up about the power of prayer in her life.
“Prayer is my immediate connection to God,” Bure shared. “That’s how I talk to Him and communicate with Him.”
The actress said that, while she spends time reading Scripture, prayer and direct communication with God is what truly nourishes her faith.
“Just like any relationship, when you are spending time with that person and you’re talking with them, that’s where your relationship grows and develops,” Bure explained. “And you nurture that over time.”
She continued, “I get to know Him through prayer and I pray about all things, not just the big things, and not just the times when times are hard or troublesome,” she said. “I pray in the joy and the thanksgiving and the mundane of life — just everyday things that don’t even seem that important, except I know they are important to God.”
Bure said that God “carries” her when she’s weak and “celebrates” life’s victories with her.
“When we recognize that God’s given all of us these things through other people in our lives … it just reminds me how great He is,” Bure concluded.

“I life by faith in everything that I do,” Bure told Fox. “It is genuinely how I am.”
Bure is anything but a closet Christian in Hollywood. The child star-turned-Hallmark actress never shies away from talking about Jesus.
“The Bible, to me, is truth,” Bure affirmed. “So, I can always go back to God and find the hope, the encouragement, the positivity, the trust that I know I have in Jesus and so it never fails even when life doesn’t go the way I planned.”
Bure added, “My faith is really the foundation of who I am.”
The mother of three has made similar comments in the past.
“My faith is just my life, it’s a part of it. It naturally flows from me, and I feel like I’ve navigated my entire career differently than most people have,” Bure said. “The goal for me isn’t necessarily the next project or making more money or being a bigger star. I’ve always chosen the things that are true to me and that I’ve wanted to do.”
