It has a profoundly Christian worldview, but there’s plenty of war violence and some comical scenes of drunkenness.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK

-2 Extreme caution for older teenagers and adults.TOP GUN: MAVERICK is a great sequel to the popular 1986 hit starring Tom Cruise, where Tom’s character, an expert Navy fighter pilot named Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, is demoted and ordered to train a group of elite Navy pilots for a deadly mission to take out a uranium enrichment facility in a foreign country. TOP GUN: MAVERICK is a terrific movie, with emotionally powerful scenes, exciting action and a strong Pro-American, patriotic, morally uplifting worldview, but it’s marred by too many obscenities and three strong profanities.

Starring an outstanding Michael Peña as Jose, A MILLION MILES AWAY shows Jose’s hardscrabble childhood as a traveling farmworker, until one of his teachers reads of his dream to be an astronaut and begs his parents to stop traveling and allow their children to flourish in a stable environment.

JOHNNY TREMAIN is a quintessential historical Walt Disney movie from the 1950s featuring patriotism, positive Christian themes, Bible quotes, prayer, a musical number, and battle scenes with no blood.

SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON

SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON is just a flat-out terrifically entertaining movie, with lots of humor, exciting action and warmth, Oscar winning color cinematography, and a wonderful performance by John Wayne and a cast of Hollywood veterans.

GOD’S NOT DEAD: IN GOD WE TRUST is a well-crafted movie that’s consistently enjoyable, well-acted and suspenseful with an inspiring worldview stressing the importance of God in our culture, politics and daily lives.

THE BLUE ANGELS

+2 Moderately questionable elements.THE BLUE ANGELS is a very captivating documentary on IMAX and Amazon Prime about the famous Navy exhibition team and a year in the life of a particular team as they go through training , exhibitions and then retirement from the Blue Angels. THE BLUE ANGELS is one of the most moral, uplifting and positive movies ever made.
