Danny Gokey wants you to “stay strong” and have faith, even when things aren’t working out how you hoped.
“If I have Jesus & nothing else… I have everything! ✝️❤️🩹” the AMERICAN IDOL alum wrote on Instagram alongside a clip from the new visualizer for his 2021 song “Stay Strong.”
In the clip, he sings:
‘Cause if I never see the promise
On this side of the grave
My hope might be shaken
But my faith will never break
Because I know the day is coming
When You’ll right all of the wrong
So I’ll praise You in the waiting
And my faith will stay strong
“‘Stay Strong’ Visualizer OUT on YouTube and streaming everywhere!!” he added in the caption.

People in the comment section expressed their gratitude for the reminder.
“Beautiful voice and beautiful song! Love your music! ❤️🙏🏼” one person said. Another commented, “We have to stay strong and know Jesus is with us and supporting our journey !!!❤️❤️❤️”
His encouragement to stay strong and lean on Jesus is a constant message from the singer.
“I don’t know what you’re walking through or what you’re going through, but here’s what I know. That the Good Shepherd, Jesus, is on your side,” Gokey said previously. “And no matter where you are, He’s leading you in good and green pastures. He wants to give rest to your soul. So today, cease from striving.”
He also wants us to turn to God’s word to better understand His truth.
“Part of my ministry is that we want to make sure people have the word of God, because the word of God is the instruction manual for life,” Gokey said at a concert last month. “And maybe it’s not for you; maybe it’s for someone else. But my whole point is this…we’ve lost our way.”
He explained, “The word of God brings definition out of chaos. The word of God helps you know what gender you are. The word of God helps you know what you are a baby in the womb. The word of God lets you know that when you forgive, you’re the one that heals, not the one that did you wrong.”
“You malfunction when you don’t have the word of God,” Gokey said, “and [when] you don’t obey the word of God. But the best part about the word of God, you can go and you can find Jesus, and He fixes that all on the inside.”
Psalm 115:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” The word of God can help us to “stay strong” and grounded even when life doesn’t make sense.
