Chip and Joanna Gaines lend a helping hand following the devastating floods that recently affected their home state of Texas.

“It’s hard to put into words the heartbreak we’re seeing across our home state in the wake of these devastating floods,” the couple’s company, Magnolia, posted on Instagram. “For those who are local to Waco, we will be hosting a donation drive at the Silos July 8-10.”

The Gaineses told people wanting to help that they are gathering items like blankets and sleeping bags, diapers, flashlights, batteries, cleaning supplies, trash bags, shovels and toiletries. These items will go to the Salvation Army, who will then distribute them to those in need.

Joanna posted a video of the donations they’ve received so far, writing, “Thank you for your generous donations and support this week for Kerr country.”

In another joint Instagram post, the couple wrote, “We’re thankful to be joining our friends over at @senderopc who created a collection benefiting the Texas Hill Country (available at the Silos soon). 100% of profits from this collection will go straight to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund administered by @cftexashillcountry.”

The collection includes a baseball cap, a t-shirt and a bandana. The hat and shirt both feature the message, “Hope Runs Through These Hills.”

The Gaineses aren’t the only celebrities hoping to help those affected by the floods and sending their support and prayers.

Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila shared a joint post that read, “If you’re able, please lend a helping hand where and how you can. It’s gonna be a long road ahead, but right now the shock, the pain, and the chaos need the steady hand of a neighbor.”

In a July 5 post, Maria Shriver wrote, “Today my prayers are with the families in Texas impacted by the flooding on the Guadalupe River in Central Texas. Right now they need us all to hold them in a circle of love.”

“I can’t stop thinking about the families in Texas and the overwhelming pain they’re going through right now,” Khloe Kardashian shared in an Instagram story. “As a mother, this kind of tragedy hits in a place words can’t reach. The loss of those sweet, innocent children is something I can’t fully process, There are just no words for this.”

Please keep those affected in your prayers as they continue to deal with the tragic aftermath of these floods.
