Christian singer Emerson Day believes in miracles because she experienced one firsthand.
“Recently, I was in a really bad accident, and I lacerated my liver,” Day told CBN News. “And they told me that I probably would not live through that — and, miraculously, I did.”
Later, while at a follow-up appointment for her injury, doctors notice something that puzzled them.
“They said, ‘Hey, like how many blood transfusions did you have?’” she recalled. “And I said, ‘None.’ And the guy that was looking at my paperwork, he said, ‘Well, your numbers show that you had one.’”
Day knew that it wasn’t a blood transfusion that affected her lab work. It was God.
“I said, ‘Well, the Heavenly Father gave me one, but I did not have one while I was in this hospital,’” she explained. “So, I really feel like God spared my life that day. And I do feel like a walking, living, breathing miracle.”
She added, “It was back in October, so just over a year ago, now, completely healthy, completely okay, completely healthy. Yes, and I should not be. That’s the miracle part I should not be but I am.”
A country-style singer, Day desires to make music about Jesus.
“Writing songs as early as 8 years old, she was influenced by the sounds of a southern rock guitar and an old church piano. Growing up on her family’s farm in Southern Maryland, she would sit outside playing guitar and singing for hours. God put a song in her heart long before she ever realized it,” her website shares.
Day knows God spared her life, and she sings song about His power and love and Satan’s defeat. Her recent song, “Get Behind Me,” describes just that.
Some of the lyrics read:
Devil get behind me, run on home
Back to the grave where you belong

You’re stuck under my blood bought boots.
That is exactly what happened in Day’s miraculous healing.
Following an announcement of the song on Instagram, one person commented, “I heard this song for the first time today. Wow what a great song to remind us of who we are in Christ.” Another person added, “This is SO cool! Can’t wait to hear it 🔥”
Day’s story is a great encouragement that no matter what the odds look like, God is a miracle worker and can turn anything in our favor.
