Fathom Entertainment just added a second night to its release of FINDING FAITH this summer.

The faith-based psychological thriller will be available on Monday, June 16, and Tuesday, June 17. The story follows Faith Mitchell as she’s suddenly wrecked by grief after tragedy. Little by little, she takes steps toward the light and out of her dark tunnel, rediscovering purpose in the process.

The movie is centered around Psalm 30:5: “… Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

LazRael Lison serves as the writer and director. Stars include MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL’s Paula Patton, MUFASA: THE LION KING’s Keith David, MONEYBALL’s Stephen Bishop, MY NAME IS EARL’s Nadine Velazquez and RAMPAGE’s Demetrius Grosse, a Fathom Entertainment press release said.

In the movie, Patton’s character, Faith, struggles with addiction. The role was special for Patton because she was an alcohol addict and celebrated seven years of sobriety last month.

“There was a lot about Faith that did touch close to home because I did have to go through a process of really losing a lot to find myself, find faith, find my love of God,” she explained on the TAMRON HALL SHOW. “When I was drinking, I didn’t have faith. If I had faith in God, I’d know that all the pain I was going through I was meant to, and I was going to find myself on the other side.”

Emmy® winner Loretta Devine, known for her roles in WAITING TO EXHALE and GRAY’S ANATOMY, will star as Faith’s mother-in-law.

“Meet Helen — sharp, stubborn, and never afraid to say exactly what’s on her mind,” a character description reads. “In Finding Faith, she’s not here to sugarcoat anything — especially when it comes to her daughter-in-law, Faith. But beneath the judgment is a deep desire to protect what she loves…even if it comes out the wrong way.”

“Finding Faith was a production of true love, trust and faith on so many levels,” said Tatiana Chekhova, FINDING FAITH producer and co-founder and chief operating officer for Summer House Pictures. “Assembling a great team is always the most important aspect to any production, and we have got a great team from top to bottom. We hope the audience will enjoy this film and it will inspire others who need inspiration.”

Fathom Entertainment CEO Ray Nutt shared that the movie isn’t just entertainment but a message that empowers and lifts people up.

“FINDING FAITH was created with deep love and trust,” said Chekhova. “We hope it touches hearts and reminds people that even in the darkest seasons, hope is never lost.”
