ABOMINABLE is a sweet animated movie about a teenage girl named Yi, who tries to help a Yeti get back to his home on Mt. Everest. ABOMINABLE begins in a moment of intense jeopardy as a young Yeti, escapes captivity and then runs out into metropolis. Cut to a teenage girl named Yi. Yi works many odd jobs gathering funds and is always on the go, which makes her mother and grandmother sad and suspicious of her whereabouts. One night, she ventures onto the roof of her apartment building and uncovers the young Yeti hiding from his captors.
Yi’s cousins, Peng and Jin, learn about the Yeti, and Jin calls the authorities, even though Yi begs him not to do so. They decide to call the Yeti Everest because that’s where his home is. Through a series of events, Yi and her cousins stow away on a cargo boat that takes them one step closer to Everest’s home. Meanwhile, Everest’s captors stay hot on their trail the entire journey, hopeful that they can prove the Yeti exists and wow the world with their findings.
As they get closer to the mountain, Yi, Peng and Jin learn that Everest has a magic ability that allows him to manipulate nature and bring them into safety. His powers seem to get stronger the closer they get to Mount Everest, but will that be enough to get him home?
