LIKE CRAZY

"Fickle Romantic Love"

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

LIKE CRAZY is a love story about an American and an Englishwoman who meet in college but are separated when the woman violates her U.S. visa. Felicity Jones plays Anna, a pretty young woman from England attending college in Los Angeles. She and Jacob, an American student played by Anton Yelchin, are extremely attracted to one another. They date, but after a year of romance, they are graduating and Anna has to return to England. Anna can’t bring herself to part with Jacob, however, so she violates her visa and stays for the summer. Six months later or so, Anna has returned to England and tries to come back to America for a visit. However, Immigration sends her right back because of her visa violation earlier. Can their love stay warm after this and other separations?

LIKE CRAZY might have been a really nice romantic movie except that the couple cheats on one another when they keep getting separated. How can viewers stick with this couple when they themselves don’t stick together? The answer is, they can’t. LIKE CRAZY also contains some foul language and sexual promiscuity, so extreme caution is warranted.

Content:

(RoRoRo, LL, SS, N, A, M) Very strong Romantic worldview that fails to question the fickle, erratic quality of romanticism; six obscenities (including one “f” word) and five light profanities; no violence; briefly depicted adulterous sex in one scene, implied adulterous sex, implied fornication, and cohabitation; upper male nudity; alcohol use; no smoking or drugs; and, cheating, lying, legalistic bureaucrat makes an arbitrary decision in one scene.
