REDEEMING HOPE

"Jesus Provides Redemption, Recovery and Reconciliation"

What You Need To Know:

REDEEMING HOPE is an evangelical drama on Amazon Prime. Inspired by true events, it follows a man named Denver McCabe, a military team leader who lives with the PTSD caused by an intense firefight with Arab terrorists who killed one of his best friends. Denver abandons his marriage, becomes a homeless alcoholic and drug abuser, and starts working for a criminal identity theft ring. When he’s at his lowest point, a neighborhood evangelist arrives just as Denver is about to commit suicide. Will he give in to permanent despair, or accept the Gospel and find new life in Jesus Christ?

REDEEMING HOPE relies almost completely on narration by Denver to explain the drama onscreen. However, the narration is well-written and movingly delivered by actor and co-writer Stacey Shiflett to keep viewers engrossed in the storyline. REDEEMING HOPE has a moving third act and is helped by a touching musical score and a strong, inspiring Christian message. However, there’s too much narration, and the performances are overdone. REDEEMING HOPE has some strong battle violence and depicts drunkenness and heroin use in a negative fashion.
