‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Set to Break U.S. Box Office Records

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ has already launched in 44 markets and made over $200 million. May 1 is the date it’s set to be released in the U.S., and estimates  suggest it will make over $200 million at the box office. The movie will have a huge opening on May 1, with over 4,200 theaters showing it.

MovieTickets.com reports that advance ticket sales for the movie are 3.7x greater than the 2012 release of The Avengers and 4.6x greater than for 2013’s Iron Man 3. 84% of all tickets sold on the site in the last 24 hours were for the movie.

Fandango is reporting that ticket pre-sales for Age of Ultron equals all presales for all Marvel Studios films combined.
